First time ever flying a FreeWing F16 (or any FreeWing model) 64mm. It has reverse thrust with the ESC it comes with.
New-ish pilot. 2022 is first year RC flying. Definitely in need of more stick time!

Thanks for checking out my channel! It’s pretty good as you get a rudder and reverse! They do save with the servo setup but then again you save on weight and it’s a simple setup. Batteries are cheap and overall it flies great !

You should set it up just standard normal, not elevons. Get a clear rudder for steerable gear. 😁

i saw your other videos, which one is good first EDF, i am thinking of getting this as first EDF and i would install a GYRO in it. Or is the f-15 from eflite better choice? i want something that does not need to always fly full speed and still be controllable

If you compare them without considering the price the Eflite F15 is the more robust plane with separate servos for aileron and elevators while this plane uses a single servo for aileron and elevator controls (Elevon). The F15 from Eflite in 64mm is a very capable plane. can fly slow and be perfectly controllable. F16 from Freewing is a real nice plane though!! I'm glad I have it in the hangar!

@@rchobbyandmoreeverydayisagift thanks. Yes actually the new f16 now has separate servos too for elevators and elerons. It has now 6 servos in v2. So that’s why I feel the price of the Eflite is not worth it.

I would say this is the one. It can alpha very nicely actually as it seems all F16s do for nice slow presentation passes.

I would NOT recommend this to be your first RC plane . It is going to be hard to manage this RC EDF plane without first getting the feel of flying. I would recommend a prop plane like a Aeroscout or even the mini Aeroscout. Beginner plane this is not ! It’s a decent first EDF plane but yeah, not my idea of a first rc plane. It’s tempting cause it’s cool and all I get it, but you don’t want to immediately crash it since it’s not as forgiving as a Aeroscout and get turned off from the hobby! Just saying…you will love the Aeroscout it’s a great plane to fly and great beginner plane. I just flew mine today even after a year of flying I still love the Aeroscout!

Okay thank you for Quick answer! So if i buy a plane with a prop first... Then is it cool if i buy this freewing model?

@@_finnishaviation_2 yup, prop planes like the Aeroscout (this is the one I personally recommend) are great planes to start with. After training in that and your feeling ready you could try flying the FreeWing F16. I wish you happy flights and smooth landings!

@@rchobbyandmoreeverydayisagift Well thats great! Thank you! Yesterday i actually ordered my first rc plane! Its the eachine mini f22. After training with i'll probably buy this freewing f16 or f18. But im still choosing wich one cuz both of them are rly cool. Thank you for answer!

One more thing what plane do you recommend for beginners?
@rchobbyandmoreeverydayisagift
@rchobbyandmoreeverydayisagift Жыл бұрын
For a beginner the Aeroscout is a great plane !! And for a first EDF plane (like your 3rd or 4th plane) the UMX A10 30mm is what I started with and it is great!!
