Congratulations my friend !!! You did a wonderful job on that plane ! One time I read in somewhere a beautiful phrase that said: ( I believe the English translation is something like this ) -You should never put so much effort into assembly (caprice) that you are afraid to fly ! I would be shaking my legs to fly this plane but you did it very well !!! Congratulation my friend and thanks for sharing this series of videos with us! A big hug from a friend from Brazil

Your video content is spot on. You know when to offer advice and when to let the build speak for itself. Excellent build series on the 182. Thanks for the tips and tricks. Don't give up on building planes just because of a lack of airspace, low and slow STOL planes offer a great flying experience to a lot of us.

@@BayonasRCWorld I'm very lucky where I have ended up flying. I fly out of an empty airport in Northern CA. Only traffic is the occasional cub doing a touch and go. Other than that it's completely empty no Services whatsoever. Plenty of room for big planes! Looking forward to the next flight!

Great job on the building and that beautiful aircraft. Glad the maiden flight was a success. Keep up the great work whether it leads to more plane builds or switches over to heli's. I can personally attest to your abilities to rock the heli's in build and 3D flying. :-)

Thank you! Yes I am still battling the field issue here on Guam. Reason why I have not made any new KZbin videos just yet! I haven't flown since my last video of the FT mini Corsair. Great maiden! I have to admit, that field looked a little sketchy for the Cessna, but a nice job of greasing her in for landing. You should build a model of Blue Thunder.
@BayonasRCWorld3 жыл бұрын
Yes this field is not for this kind of plane. I would say great for foam planes and helicopters. This is the first and last time I will ever use this field for any Gas planes of this size. I will fly my helis there for sure. I thought about a Blue Thunder build however Vario helicopters use to sell the fiberglass fuselage kit but I don't see it anymore.
@adelaseeri18923 жыл бұрын
Congrats!! I have the same kit, only you did a much better job with the finish, fiberglass and paint looks way better then monokote, careful with the flying spot these Cessnas carry some momentum and keep rolling after landing, I flew at a field similar to where you flew, Landed perfectly fine only flapless it kept rolling further then I thought and wing tip hit a metal pole, very minor damage to the tip, but I wont be flying there again.
@BayonasRCWorld3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I will not be flying at that field as well with the Cessna or any other gas planes. That field is just good for helis and foamies.

Great video -- as usual. Thanks! I'm building a Gold Edition TF Cessna 182, and I'm hearing that the CG in the manual puts it tail heavy. What's your experience? Where did you locate the CG? Thanks.
@BayonasRCWorldАй бұрын
I followed the CG location as per manual and plans. By the nature of the kit and built up tail section the tail is just heavy. Therefore you either make accommodations to try and reduce weight without compromising structural integrity. The manual CG location is where mine is set in all my flight videos here in the channel. To get the proper CG i had to add lead weights up front. I added some lead weights epoxied to the very front of my cowl. My Cessna 182 is heavy around 14.8lbs however she flies smooth and controlled without any bad habits. She comes in nicely with full flap down and during takeoff with half flaps. Excellent flying model.
