Very cool. Where do I get those servo motors? What type of controller do I need to get started. I’m really interested in the scratch built foam board planes. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed! The servos are standard “9 gram servos” and they can be found on many sites, ranging from robotics to AliExpress to Amazon. They are pretty cheap and budget friendly. The “control board” that is on the plane simply receives user input that is transmitted from the remote in your hand. My unit is pretty budget, at around 70$ but they can range up to the 500+range. You can chose any motor and prop setup that is appropriate for the size plane you want to build, you don’t want a 500g motor on a 250g plane, look for a motor that is 15-25 grams(motors are categorized by size not weight, so don’t actually search 20g motor, instead find a motor and decrease it’s size parameters until you find a suitable fit online! I use foamboard from dollar tree to build my planes, if you have one nearby, you can order a whole 25 pack of sheets online to pickup in-store. I would also recommend you to checkout the KZbin channel Sam Shepard, as he has simplified the explanation of the components, and general flight principals. Hope you have fun on your flying journey!

@@theorangebaron1595 Thanks for the nice reply. I have built a three foam board channel plane from scratch. Just got the radio transmitter today. Hope to have my first flight ✈️ soon.
