Hi Jen, if you want to start modifying your 4Runner, the safest place to start is the glove box and center console organizer. Also a wireless CarPlay is life changer. Here is your warning. The reason why I said “safest” is because it is an addiction. Bought my blue 4Runner, now it’s 2 inches taller, bead locks wheels, 33 tires, a Sherpa roof rack, hidden Bigfoot and 4Runner for fun. I only made the first payment. Congratulations on your 4Runner !

Hi Jen👋🏻. I’m so happy that you have found something that is bringing you so much joy!! I’ve been amazed by the adventures you have already made and look forward to the ones that are yet to come. I would just like to reiterate comments other subscribers have mentioned about Winnie’s safety while traveling in the car. Regardless of the distance you are traveling, pets (and anyone else) should have some type of safety restraint. God forbid an accident happens, you are secure but poor Winnie would be an object “in motion”. I don’t think I need to tell you what could happen 😢. We, your subscribers, love you and would hate to see anything unfortunate happen.

As a high schooler, a friend died in a car accident not long before I was supposed to learn how to drive. It's not like I was at the accident, but it happened on my birthday weekend so I'll always remember. And then when I started learning to drive, I found that I was extremely nervous because the friend's death left a huge impression in my teenage mind. For a few years of driving I would get so anxious at times that I would just start crying at the wheel when I had a stressful lane change and I also would refuse to drive anywhere unfamiliar by myself. Other people had to make the drive with me at least a few times first. I would also grip the steering wheel so hard that my arms would go numb after awhile. Although I've mostly conquered the fear now, I've stayed a safe and cautious driver. I go about the same speed as you do. I feel awful when people on the road pressure me to go faster.

100% agree with you on the speeding and unsafe driving. I recently moved from UK to Poland and drivers are so much more aggressive here, there are times I don't feel safe on the road. Safe travels and enjoy your new beauty xx

I call my beloved car - George. I treat him as a family member. I say thank you to him for protecting me and would make him get excited everytime I bring him to a car detail or car wash. I handle George with love and care. If only I have a garage, I'd be the one to clean him. God knows how many times George saw me crying or teary eyed while driving. He also saw me at my happiest moment. There's a deep bond between me and my car.

Adaptive cruise control is great - helps to keep the car within the speed limit and also is much safer with keeping distance between cars…. Something most people dont do on the road. At least not in the UK here. Tailgating is very dangerous. Great vid, thanks Jen!!

Jenn said she’s having some back issues. My baby did too. Had to have a part of her back replaced when she was 10. She lived to 19.5 yrs. I just adore Winnie. I started watching Jen 100 years ago when Winnie had her own channel.

& Lisa Johnsen: Best vehicle ever! In 2016 we went to the dealership to look at a Highlander, but my husband pointed out the 4Runner and it was love at first sight. Previously we had a Toyota Tacoma TRD that we loved, but felt like as we are getting older we needed something a bit more comfortable. The 4Runner is great for long trips, has plenty of room for us and the dogs (kids are grown). You will never regret this purchase and btw it is a joy to drive!

you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it can hurt you instead

Love the adaptive cruise control. We just bought the new Volkswagen id4 (electric) in February and it has the travel assist which scared me lol. I mean we were driving a 6 speed GTI before we went electric. We just tried it this weekend on our way home from camping and it’s so weird but so awesome! I just worry that the more features we get like this, the more reliant people will be on it. No need to rush on the name. All in due time 😊 Can’t wait to see how your adventures go. I took the course you described with my daughter when she was 17, and got a speeding ticket. Learned so much in that course that I never absorbed in drivers ed back when I was 16. Totally worth it!

I find that when I go to the shore I was watching when I'm going down I'm going a touch slower than speed limit I feel like I have more control with the the crazy drivers (going in and out) going down. I kept watch on my way home earlier in the week I was going speed limit not as many cars and I probably could have gone over if I wasn't watching. More unmarked cars because the NJ parkway this year has become worst than ever before with the amount of accidents. I'm glad you are enjoying your new car hope it works out well for all the future trips you hope to take I look forward to seeing your videos.

I definitely GET IT, Jen. There are all kinds of relationships. Having one with a car you love, enjoy, and depend upon, adds so much value to your life. My Toyota RAV 4 XLE allows me to relate to your excitement. Mine cme after six months of waiting for her due to the chip shortage. She was made in Canada. Serious question: with the speed of climate change happening, have you factored in the environmental impact of not only owning a second large vehicle but how much you’ll be driving it? Fossil fuels are a huge factor in climate change not to mention what off roading does to affect the environment. I myself am a life long hiker and camper and have backed off considerably on trips I have to travel far for because of this because I want to help protect the planet and not just use it since we are seeing in real time the serious ramifications of the modern human footprint on it.
