Maika's Eugene Marathon Experience

COO Maika Janat-Vennemann puts the sport in Oregon. In June, Maika is departing Sport Oregon and her beloved city of Portland to be closer to family in her native Germany. But before she goes across the pond, she decided to do one of the most Oregon things an Oregonian can do - run all 26.2 miles of the Eugene Marathon. The largest marathon in the Pacific Northwest serves as the unofficial opening of running season each spring, with athletes coming from far and wide on the last weekend of April. The classic course flies through the campus of the Oregon Ducks, winds along the Willamette River, and finishes in the Theater for Track.
