Miku is very much an "actual" singer. Sure, her voice comes from a synthesiser, but the lyrics and personality in each song are completely real. And in a world of mass-produced pop where everything is auto-tuned to hell, Miku is arguably MORE real than the so called "artists" that dominate the music charts.
