Hi guys. Thanks again for a great episode. Spencer, I had a compacted road gravel base foundation under my shed in central Wisconsin. After ten years it was absolutely level with no frost heaves. Much cheaper than concrete. If you wanted to save money you could have the excavation done and then put in the gravel and compact it with a rental yourself.

Very nice, you're a good whatch maker. I like your Seiko quartz tester. By the way, is the h5000 (arnie) crown thesam as this one, i.e. removing the crown stud? Thanks. I might have to buy one of those tunas, they have good solid movements.

Hi Sabrina and Spencer. I am working in a 6138 movement. And i have a problem when put the stem back. It doesn´t hold. I try to wigle the stem arround his hole triying to catch It, but It doesn´t retain It. It is a way to try to put It back without striping back the movement? Thanks anda best regards.

Huge respect if you get this back together and operating. What a dial! Just perfect Heuer goodness. This one was destined for the trash bin and it’s a miracle that it never found its way in there.
MAINSPRING MADNESS! PUTTING A SWISS MAINSPRING IN A SEIKO

I’ve used a replacement mainspring for a 2892 as substitute. The specs are 1.05 x 0.115 x 430 x 10.5 in case that helps.

Are the dials interchangeable? Can you use a Seiko 6105-8119 dial on the Rdunae?

I own a lot of 7A28 and 7A38 (40 + of them). The 7040 and the 703B are probably the most beautiful quartz watches ever made. Your bishop and ripley are really nice

My Heuer Carrera 1971 reverse panda 73653N, has had a poor dial refinishing at some point. Would you advise I refinish it considering it’s probably devalued anyway. ? Any advise form your viewers too is appreciated..

great video, do you have any videos where you show WHAT you are adjusting while doing the beat error test (to get it keeping time properly), here we only see the results of your changes but not what you are actually doing in the watch

Excellent video Spencer. More info has come out since your video here, but you hit on great points. I have an original 6119-8090 issued example, which was authenticated.

Spencer I'm stumped and hope you can shed some light. A friend picked up a 6106-6439 UFO without stem or crown. Finding a stem assembly with gear and spring is near impossible and costly if found. Can we purchase a replacement stem 354615 and crown 50M04NS1 without spring and gear and still have access to the quickset functions? Or does the 6106-6439 require a complete stem assembly to function?

I love the ‘realness’ of this with the noises in the background. Great to hear the stories behind each piece you own. You probably already know this but the lugs on the Rolex are thinner on the right hand side to balance out the size of the crown guards - they do the same thing but it’s more noticeable with the Daytona. Cheers

Recently picked up the SBGW297 as a modern replacement for my stolen 45-7000 King Seiko. My goodness GS can make some amazing looking watches. At 36.5mm maybe Sabrina would enjoy these smaller GS. Truly we are living in a Golden Age of Horology. The Art of Watchmaking has never been higher in craftsmanship and quality.

The Romans used Natural hotwater springs. And they specifically looked for those places to built a Bath house there. The water springs had "healing" properties as a high sulphur content. Or other water soluble minerals. For a good skin care and aching bones for their legions. In Germany, the most cities with hot water springs even now are still called Bad(bath) Bentheim. Or the very well known town of Bath in England, where the Roman made Bathhouse gave the town its name and this Roman bath is still being used today.
