So basically to create a new list, Click on Audience Then click manage audience and select view audience In view audience you can create a new audience (new list). Was a nightmare to bloody work out. Hope it helps everyone. Good luck

Just FYI, you can edit the size of an image by clicking on the image and then Edit (on the right pane). When the editor opens, look at the bottom on the left side to change the pixel size to your preferences (200 x 150 or whatever). If you don't want the aspect to change, click on the small black box Lock Dimensions to see a blue box with a white check. You don't really need to do this in another editor.

Creating a free Mailchimp account in summer 2019, at 12:09 in this video, only "Regular" and "Plain text" are available. Without "Automated" being a choice, does that mean I can't create a Welcome email for new subscribers?

Don't know when this changed, but I don't have "Lists," I have "Audience." It looks like I can go down a couple of menus (Audience→View Contacts→Settings tab) to get to what you're doing, but just a heads up for others because that's kind of what brought me here.

Darrel, @16:15 ish you show the image editor then you said go to some site to resize the image. I found that at the bottom left of the editor it shows size and you can adjust it there. Not sure if it resizes efficiently but its certainly possible within the editor. Great Vid BTW.

There is a little bit of change to the Dashboard recently. But to see all available Lists and to create new List, click on the Mailchimp Logo on the upper left corner. After the page loads, you will see VIEW LISTS button under Audience. Click on that link and you will be taken to what Darrel is seeing on his screen.

Great video - made it really understandable. Here's my question: if you have a welcome email and you want to change it, do you have to delete it or make it inactive and start a new one...and if you do does your list stay or do you have to reload it?

Q1- I have an Excel menu with 70,000 emails. When I have two ad campaigns you must enter each email separately. Or is there a way to upload the file once and MailChimp will format it. Q2- If this list contains some Excel emails that have expired or not working or incorrect in writing Is MailChimp will exclude them from the list. Or the ad campaign will crash because there are invalid emails

Thanks for this video. Although I know the basics of Mailchimp and I've used it to send a few emails, I've never thought about creating a welcome email. I did not know that Mailchimp had this built-in. I'll add that to my system for sure. I think it's a valuable first email to build trust with the audience, and just to say thank you. I agree, generally a great tutorial for those of us just starting out using Mailchimp. Two things I would suggest you consider when you update this intro to Mailchimp video: sloobow down, you talk way too fast. Just slow down a bit (and catch your breath too!). You've got the enthusiasm and energy, so now just pace yourself when you're explaining the steps. Second, please, please use another font for your examples! Stay away from the dreaded Comic Sans and ugh, Papyrus, two of the most outdated fonts. Ever. Thanks again for showing us step by step--much appreciated.

I must wait for feedback and make alterations as needed. So now i'm looking for the campagne Flyer and can't find it anywhere. I did save it as a template but the website says that if i'd like to edit before sending then i should pull up my campaign Flyer from the Campaign section... but it does not appear there. Quick question, as I was creating an automated email for new subscribers something popped up that mentioned I shouldn't use a gmail account, it may go to my subscribers as SPAM. What provider do you suggest I use for a business email? I have a store and a blogger blog not wordpress. Most of the ones I click on godaddy etc seem to bring up word press and not blogger. Hi Darrel thank you for you video. When I am changing my template like in terms of text size ect. It is ok inside of mail chimp but when I send a test email to outlook the template overrides and the changes do not occur. For example a green hyperlink inside the template was changed to black however when I checked the preview email it was green again . Can you please tell me what I may be missing here?

For the gpdr I have to give an option to the people if they only want tips, only want commercials or both. Normally they can tick this nicely at the white box. When I send a welcome email I can give people the choice with this white box and how do I do that. I understand how I make a welcome email, but not how I give people a choice in this. Thank you Darrel for the tutorial. A quick question, with the new version of Mailchimp they have Audience instead of list. Then there is a segments to organize. My issue is when I add more forms to say sign up for say a webinar or in-person presentation, to my current audience, they they sign in to one of the session it says "you are already subscribed" and it then asks my audience to update their profile, which they then have to go to their email to click on the link and update their profile. This is an extra step for my clients or audience. How do we avoid that? I would like to embed a form on my blog page without taking their extra step to let me know if they want to come for an online session, or in-person. (If they are not interested, they will not fill out the form, which is fine. This gives me an automatic list of who wants to come for what....but this is not happening automatically. Can you please help?

Great tutorial Darrel. The only thing you forgot to mention is that this feature of adding emails to the first automated email creating a campaign is not available for the Free Plan. It's only available for Standard and Premium Plans.

I am just getting started with Mailchimp. I have two freemiums that I want to offer based on which video series the viewer is watching. Mailchimps online help didnt help. Do I setup a different audience for each freemium and then periodically merge the audiences I use for each freemium into a master audience ? Would presume that I would have a tag associated with the audience they initially subscribed to in the master audience ?

Hey, nice one..been using Mailchimp for while already but still cant figure out this, if you know how to fix it would be great. So member is in a "free stuff" list ok, he buys one of our golden or premium programs, the moment he buys zipper triggers in and ads him to the "golden level" list but can I also add trigger that it deletes him from the "free list"?
