Thanks so much for sharing this amazing great tutorial! As a beginner, if I just want to start with a landing page without owing a website from wordpress. Do I still need to buy a domain name? Does the step "Domain Authentication" still necessary? I do plan on sending emails in sequence, email automation

it's not necessary. But it helps to avoid spam folders when you send emails. For the beginning landing pages are enough and can replace website. Later when you need more custom designs etc. Then it's better to get a proper website with wordpress or other page builder.

Hi Karen, I'm happy to hear this video helped you. It's not a dealbreaker, but it may impact email deliverability (basically, if the email goes to the spam folder or not). So I advise getting it if it's possible. Since you already have the domain name. This tutorial is really helpful! I'm a little confused if I should use email automation or just the campaign email. I have a blog so I would like for my subscribers to get the welcome email. After that I would send either a biweekly or monthly roundup of blog posts I have done for that month. Which one would be best? Im new to email marketing and just got started with mailerlite.

You can create automation for the welcome email and then just add a small delay and move the people from" welcome list" tag to "regular list" tag or something like that. And only send your normal email newsletter to people in the "regular list". This way people won't get multiple emails from you on same day. Also if you decide to make the welcome email a longer sequence, it's ready to go :)

But those people won't get the welcome email again correct? This is where I am stuck because there is no information on how to do this.

Each month you can go and just send a campaign email. The automation is just for the welcome flow or any other flows you want to repeat for subscribers.

Great review. One question: what is the difference between a landing page and a pop-up. I have a pop-up attached to my webpage. Should I substitute the pop-up for a landing page for my freebie? Or is it just a matter of personal preference? Thanks.

Landing page - you get a URL from mailerlite and people go there.| Popup - is on your page and the traffic goes there. If you have a popup, you can keep that. If you want to have a dedicated page on your website, then just use the embedded form and create some content around it.

I created one from scratch and feeling like a twit, but can’t edit the text (I want to change font, color etc) on the opt in verbiage like you’re doing at the 7:56 mark. you need to add an inline form or popup on your website. Or then you can also create a landing page end send people there to signup for your newsletter. Then make sure that the form adds people to the right segment/group. Then use that segment/group to trigger your automated email sequence. I hope that wasn't too confusing :)

Yes you are right Jennifer, looks like templates are in the paid version. Not sure if that's something they changed recently or it was like that already.

Yes, absolutely. You can make the landing page anything you want, the templates are there to get you started, but you can change them to anything you want.

Hi Marco, what kind of preferences do you need? The only option MailerLite gives to your subs, is to unsubscribe.

To make this integration he has to unsubscribe and make a new subscription. This is absurd! I am trying to figure out if there is a way to overcome this problem. Hi any ideas?
