We had no lroblem with our meals in the MDR on the Sunshine in May. Ate there 3 nights out of 6 and all meals were good by us! Were not picky. But still thought was good food

On the Horizon I never saw any singing or dancing and I ate the MDR 4 times. I liked the food. It was better some nights than others.

That’s crazy…..we saw singing on the Horizon every time as well. Maybe it was a lucky trip for you then 😜🤣. Depends on if you wanted to see the singing 🤣

We are going on our first ever Carnival cruise (first ever cruise) in November leaving out of Charleston. I saw this video of you eating in the MDR. Can you tell me about the buffet. How was the buffet? My elderly mother in law is going with us too and she can be finicky. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Nikki, we are personally not big fans of buffet food. The breakfast buffet is ok and they will make omelette to order. The MDR overall is not bad and Blue Iguana, Guys Burger, and pizza is included and good.

We eat at the MDR every night when we cruise. Next cruise we are gonna try the steak house, I already made reservations.

Steakhouse is Soooooooo good! We love the hazelnut cheesecake at the end as well! Enjoy!

@@sheldy122 we went buy it but didn’t watch a movie. I cannot recall to be honest. I believe they had Avatar playing in main theater and Black Panther.

I see my lovely Rica Rose the Super Sr. Hostess behind the desk. Carnival is particularly great with people who have food allergies. I think the food has really improved a lot. The pastry chef is fantastic, his department is top notch. Chef AJay is the Executive Chef and is such a warm and welcoming person who runs a great crew.

#notmedium The food tastes better than it looks. My favs are the different pastas. Had too many steaks that came out chewy or tough, not to temp, or just not flavorful. The baked alaska is amazing! #bigbite

We agree! Those chicken tenders are pretty good …..wish they mage it as a main entree with a few more!

I usually eat in the MDR, only had one meal that I would classify as bad but I should have known better than to order fried chicken on a ship. 🤣I do wish when they include broccoli they would give me more than 2 pieces! I love the chimichurri sauce on the MDR steak, I always order it rare, normally it comes mid rare, but that's what I am shooting for.
