Regarding tuition, college tuition in India is a lot lot LOT cheaper than in the States (or at least it used to be 20 years ago, and I'm not counting professional unis like IIM), so it honestly would not be financially difficult to stick around in college for several years, for instance I studied in one of the best colleges in my state and paid the equivalent of usd 200 per year!

Main hoon na was the first movie I watched in the theatre. I enjoyed it so much and was completely mesmerized by songs, dance, action and ofcourse SRK. Watching movies in theatres in childhood was no less than a festival, it was so much fun.

Just bear in mind that most bollywood movies from the last few decades had a tendency to portray Hindus as terrorists and Pakistanis/radical islamists as victims forced to take up weapons against the state. While few writers / movie makers did this deliberately to demonise Hindus, others seemed to think genuinely that this monkey balancing was necessary to promote amity in the Indian society. Otherwise, if one keeps his brains on the table and watches this movie, it is thoroughly enjoyable with hilarious comedy scenes !

Don't really agree that "Most bollywood movies in the last few decades had a tendency to portray Hindus as terrorists". The number of movies where I've seen Hindus as "terrorists" are very few. Have there been villains with Hindu names that fight protagonists with Hindu names? Sure, but that's more good vs evil rather than a commentary on Hinduism itself. I will give you that the portrayal of Muslims, although skewed, has generally been positive in bollywood movies except for the past 5 years or so. Nevertheless, we still had movies like Fanaa and Kurbaan. I don’t see the problem with that either though. The reality is that Islamic extremists do exist, so too do Hindu extremists. Naturally, a part of that reality bleeds into media. There's just not as much of it as you say there is, most of the time it's good vs evil. Bollywood actually handles this a whole lot better than Hollywood.

i wish you guys watched this movie before Om Shanti Om. bcz Farah Khan has her own style of Fantasy Kingdom where SRK is the sole King, Prince and future Heir of it.. Every sort of comedic superhero, masala presentation of SRK in Farah's fantasy started with this movie i.e. Main Hoon Na! but better late than never. as always would like to put some requests don't know how long it will take to reach you Tees Mar Khan (another Farah fantasy) Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (i'm huge fan of Miguel's react and his explanations) My Name is Khan and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna are the two movies of Director Karan Johar we all miss and adore and he doesn’t come out of often with 'this version' of him which is loss for bollywood ofc. and Josh i loved your expression in Hi Nana bcz the movie was in my good book already and your reaction to it was so adorable that i kindda ignore Miguel bcz he was spilling coffee before the happening many times.😅
