Thank you so much for this awesome lesson I was always confused about the use of Main and Mujhe. What I would really like to know is why Mujhe is used when you want to say "I am hungry" can we not use Main because it means "I am" ?
@WatchAndLearnHindi2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use "main" because as you said it is "I am". Actual if do the literal translation of I am hungry it will start with "main". I am hungry --> main bhookhaa hoon (मैं भूखा हूँ) - Masculine main bhookhee hoon (मैं भूखी हूँ) - Feminine So you see if you use "main" then you have to mind the gender. When mujhe is used then the gender of the speaker does not matter. mujhe bhookh lagee hai (मुझे भूख लगी है). Also with mujhe it means more like hunger is happening / is attached to me. So actually not a literal translation of I am hungry. I know it is a little confusing but most native speaker use mujhe in this kind of sentences.

Very nice video, i wanted to asks, why is sometimes nahee infront the ver and sometimes behind?
@WatchAndLearnHindi2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot 🙏 In Hindi the standard structure of a Hindi sentence is subject, object and then verb. But sometimes depending on how much stress you want to put on a particular word it might be in a different position in a sentence. Most time putting it at either place is fine and you can choose to say it either way. So it comes down to personal choice. For example - I don't know can be mujhe nahee pataa or mujhe pataa nahee. You will hear first one more frequently spoken but you can say it the second way too. I know it is a little confusing but the more you listen to sentences and conversations in Hindi the easier it will become to figure it out. Hope this helps.

"Mereko " meaning ? Shall we use instead of mujhe(I)
@WatchAndLearnHindi Жыл бұрын
"mereko" is not proper Hindi. Instead use mujhe in place of mereko. For example - I like tea - mujhe chaay pasand hai (मुझे चाय पसंद है।) not mereko chaay pasand hai. Hope this helps.
