I'll start a series of remakes for the MP2H project (metroid prime hunters revival). Will do more videos when I have time (I just entered college so there's not much). Here's the first remake: main menu (the used version haha).

I added sounds in this, as well as kept the stereo image of some sounds that were mono-ized by the Nintendo DS.

Maybe you've heard of MP2H ? It's a currently in-development project to remake MPH on pc, with higher quality everything. Although it's on a big pause right now.

@@TachyBunker No this is the first time I heard about it. It looks awesome. Also, do you think it's possible for you to remake the MP:H First Hunt intro theme?

@@Haxxer82 It's one of my favorites! Unfortunately it's STRM format. Which means it's streamed music at probably about 32kHz sample rate, and not sequenced music with individual samples. Not only that, the architecture of the game was before any standardization and unless we tried for weeks, we wouldn't be able to rip the high quality (32kHz sample rate, so has frequencies up to 16 kHz) STRM into a wav (using Audacity, importing RAW mode on the BIN music files). Some of the samples and synths are in common with MPH so we have a few instruments in high quality. But, that's only a minority of them, and also the guitar was performed by Lawrence Schwedler himself so we'd have to find a good guitar player who can really nail his sample (also used in SEQ_MENU1 aka Unused Menu Theme). That makes a lot of reasons that for now First Hunt is on the side, and probably won't be redone, sadly. But you could try! And I still could use some tricks in order to uplift the sound but that won't be as clear. Hope that explains!

@@Haxxer82 If you're talking about the intro and not the menu theme, theres hope, it's many shared sample. Although we haven't yet found the library which contains the breakbeat (which is the same used in Gorea Phase 2 theme).

Did you know! That noise sweep loop at 0:32 was used in X-Files. It's called FUTILE and is found in Distorted Reality 2.

It is!! Metroid Prime Hunter's soundtrack is higher than the other Metroid Prime games in music, for me. It's a 9.9 and the others a 9.8.

I got recently obsessed with the Hunters Menu theme and was wondering if there was a good remix/cover/etc. and stumbled upon this and I'm loving it, love the little touches that delve more on the prime style!

I truly miss this game, and it’s so sad that it was one of the only metroids to explore the idea of worlds outside the normal metroid environment, alongside with the different species that are controllable. I do hope they publish a remake or reference prime hunters uniquely in prime 4

With the help of Synamax, Phantom Avenger and unknown, we traced back a lot of original samples that were used in the six Metroid Prime games. One of which I really want to remake its soundtrack, it's the First Hunt one. They are great, all in all, just need a lot more sample finding and a good revamp for everyday listening. 🤟 It's my next step after Carpenter Brut :]

God daium this brings me back. Used to love this menu theme. I also loved playing competitively with the bots in the arenas, i was a 9 years old pro at this game. Gope this pc version comes out soon, id get my hands on it immediately to play online Love the theme remake my man. Keep it up!

I too wonder, but honestly, it would take away much of the MPH vibe. The samples that Lawrence chose were so rad and dark in a way, where instead Yamamoto's synths were more animalistic and scifi. But maybe I can try it, I'll let you know. Thinking of doing Arcterra 2 or the Cretaphid theme in the GC style.

Haha right after the prime remaster announcement (i really hope there's a Hunters remaster one day) Well for now will be focusing on my album. Maybe another MP2H track in my spare time, not soon. The song is for a project that is a Hunters remake (the whole game remade in Unity for PC), a couple of other composers/nerds like me were on it much earlier than me. Namely Dog Man, Unknown, Phantom Avenger. Now there is also Degguma on the team (he made prime 4 fan music), but sadly the whole project is on a big halt pause right now. It's to be expected in hobby projects with people who weren't necessarily friends before.

@@toaster_rtx1829 That's very nice of you. Hunters and the Prime Corruption games are some of my favorite and most played games, and really inspire me a ton (in fact the visuals of my album are straight from Hunters, and my logo is inspired from the Arcterra tribe trophies haha), so much that I have had a cool game idea in mind I really want to flesh out one day. It would be played in a black hole, have cool alien world with alien music (right now I'm working on music I wish is straying away from the common music practices) and exploration like metroid games. Although I know it will never be at their level, one day, I really want to complete the game, already made a GDD, it's called Space Xen hehe. So it's more likely to actually get complete than MP2H, jist not anytime soon.
