With suave basslines that strike a perfect balance between homage and innovation, Main Phase's aim with this release was to combine the fun of northern organ tracks from the early 2000s with the seriousness and darkness of the grittier sounds of the south that were also prevalent at the time. “I wanted to reimagine this sound in a way that was subtle, but banging at the same time,” he says.
