I remember going there in the 90s. It was great. They had a great buffet for a really low price, cheap table games, and half of Hawaii stayed there. I remember going to the craps table and playing craps with all of the Hawaiian men. I'm only 6 feet tall, but I felt like a giant! Lol! Those guys know how to have fun! My wife and her friends just had to see the Berlin Wall in the men's bathroom,. Security made sure it was safe to go in there and let them go in and take pictures. I thought that was really nice of them. What a jewel that casino is. 'Back in the 90s, the rule was, if you don't have live craps, you won't have live Hawaiians staying at your hotel. Lol I fear that Circa will end up buying Main Street station and California, tear them down, and build another big tower. Main Street is such a beautiful building I would hate to see it go.

I agree......I am married to a Hawaiian and we LOVE staying at Main St or The Cal..."where Aloha is spoken"......I hope Main Street and The Cal stay as they are....I went into Circa and was NOT impressed........it is toooo noisy and the Hawaiian crowd doesn't go there.

THX for this video.....I have stayed at Main Street MANY times over 20 yrs and it is sad to see it so empty in the casino.......the buffet is GREAT and 777 Microbrewery has great food also.....Lappert's Ice Cream upstairs is PRIMO and BIG scoops...!!!...I heard they have remodeled the hotel rooms and that is a good thing. I hope they never change the vintage decor of the casino.......it is cozy and charming............

When I lived in Las Vegas The Main Street Station had the best buffett downtown. In the early nineties when I first went to Las Vegas Main Street Station used to be Rosie O'Grady's. My late wife liked to stay in the newer hotels on Las Vegas Blvd.

You nailed it. Few reasons why MSS is slow. #1. The buffet closes at 2pm, it's only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday's. #2. What used to be a bargain deal at the buffet is $25 for brunch, dinner will cost $35 after taxes. #3. The 777 brewery was closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It's now open 7 days a week but closes at 9pm. #4. Table games open only Fr-Su 9am-1am. I stayed there last year and went other places to gamble and eat. Once I left the casino, I never went back until it was time to go back to the room to rest. It's a beautiful and underappreciated property, but MSS has seen better days. IMHO, poor management is running this place to the ground.
