Main Theme: Octopath Traveler [Wind Quartet Cover] | Sab Irene ft

Here's my video game wind quartet cover of the Main Theme from Octopath Traveler ft. 8BitBrigadier, Medllix, and Bassoonify! I'm Sab and I love saxophone and video games, so now I make covers that combine two of my favorite things!
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS VIDEO! IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED OCTOPATH TRAVELER YET, IT'S AMAZING!
Carlos and I were playing Octopath Traveler when we would be at the hotel with my family in Japan! It was so much fun to listen to so much of the music in game and watch others cover the music!
I decided it would be awesome to cover some of the Octopath Traveler music, and since the game is all about teamwork and collaboration, I wanted to do some collaborations!
I love working with this wind quartet! Dan, Brooke, and Michael did a phenomenal job and they had about a week to get everything to me for the video! Octopath Traveler's music orchestration is very different. It's important to match the original ranges, otherwise it throws off the balance of the sound.
Octopath Traveler reminds me of Chrono Trigger a bit in art style, plot, and music! So naturally, it's become high up on my list of games I like!
I'm excited to do more Octopath Traveler covers in the future! Most of them will be collaborations! Excited to share more Octopath stuff with you!

Definitely what I was trying to achieve with 4 voices! The ranges in Octopath Traveler's orchestration are so particular that you have to follow it to keep the full sound!

I'm not a fan of Octopath Traveler's gameplay. Sold it the day after its release. But, man, is the OST amazing. This cover was amazing, too! Just goes to show the OST really is good.
