Very interesting video, especially for someone who's a recent IBM (sort of 😉) mainframe hire. Looking forward to testing out your tips on my own!

sir I want to insert 50,000 records? how many tracks I need to take ? how many block size and record length I need to take ? Is there any formula sir
@KumarITChannel3 жыл бұрын
I don't have the exact formula on the calculation , the people working in Data storage would know better. But I got some thing found on internet , you can have a look at this. Total Records = 51,560 BlockSize = 32,760 BlocksPerTrack = 1 (from device table) RecordsPerBlock: 32,760 / 449 = 72.96 (72) Total Blocks = 51,560 / 72 = 716.11 (717) Total Tracks = 717 * 1 = 717 Cylinders = 717 / 15 = 47.8 (48) stackoverflow.com/questions/65794547/how-to-calculate-space-for-number-of-records
