@@ggGgg-fi2rx Everyone feels differently, but I'm sure he's never heard this song played by Pollini, maybe he's never heard it before lol. His playing will always be with us. May he rest in peace.
I honestly cannot believe that Bunin played this at the age of 19. I have listened to many pianist play the Polonaise but I can never get over the clarity and sharp sound of the each note when Bunin played it. Definitely my favourite pianist. ブーニンの音一つ一つがとてもハッキリしていてやはり19歳でこの演奏したことは衝撃だと思います。
Here is another precious, rare gem! Stanislav Bunin performance of Chopin - Polonaise As-Dur op 53 "Heroique" is perfect. His enthusiasm and passion re evident and the result is an unparalleled exceution. No need to say, he won the competition. Bravo!!!
One of the best pianists to ever win this prestigious competition. Makes sense why he plays so good, since his grandfather, Henrich Neuhaus, was a virtuoso himself and taught Lupu, Gilels, Richter, and countless other greats.
this piece played by Bunin is my most favorite since when I was a kid. thank you for uploading! It reminds me my childhood. his play was my only hope to survive. i have been listening over 30 years now.
What is great in this performance is that, despite he was only 19 and exibiting in one of the most important piano competitions in the world, he really looks mostly enjoying so much playing the piano. Doesnt care to impress the jury. Not worried to try not to make mistakes and seem flawless, so he has transmitted the wild and strong spirit of the piece, rather than the flat pianistic perfection

Exactely my thoughts as well. It is sadening to me to see, that todays competition is mostly about avoiding mistakes, rather then making music. Young pianist - especially in competitions - dont take risks no more.
リズミカルで舞曲らしくて拍がはっきりしていて速度も適切で、とても気持ちが良い演奏だと思いました!!!I think, this is the way of playing the polonaise! Wonderful! I am in the mood for dancing.

This is the best performance of this polonaise I have heard. Bunin has a very well defined tone for both the powerful and soft parts. Especially when he plays the quiet section, the sound gives me nerve chills.
