A Really Close friend of mine (I won't name him) secured a single-digit rank in CSE 2018. I would suggest his way of Preparation regarding answer writing. 1. If you are starting with Ncert's, Answer the questions given right after the end of every chapter. That would build your base of how to formulate sentences and inculcate facts in your answers. He also did not suggest that I write huge, mains specific answers. But short NCERT answers are necessary. This eradicates the fear of writing answers and builds a sturdy base. I have started my preparation in the 1st Week of may and I can notice the quality of my answers has changed slightly. I would suggest you try this and give feedback to yourself and me. P.S: I am not promoting anyone or anything here. Just helping out a fellow aspirant.

Kevin Garvey see the thing is join any test series whose schedule u can follow, nowadays on telegram etc you will get each and every test and students start downloading and collecting every test series they got their hands on ...it will remain just another folder in our phone or laptop..my intention is not to give gyaan bus suggesting pick one according to your schedule...I took insights because of their NCERT coverage ... just FYI in this video Mrunal sir is talking about likes of insights for mains answer writing And if you appearing this year and revised your syllabus already then practice as many test as time permits.
