Couldn’t agree more about the importance of being able to drop the main quickly. My boat came with plastic lugs that were constantly jamming in the track. Added a Tides Marine track and changed to their stainless slides. Drops like a guillotine now! Money well spent 👍

Maybe I should have gotten the tides marine. I read that the track can pull off the mast after thousands of miles of trade wind sailing. But JPK likes tides marine and he tests this stuff pretty hard.

Wow, never seen a mainsail drop as fast as yours!👍Btw, curious to know if you guys now live in Lorient and if you still have a base in the US?

We use the boat in the summer but our residence is Florida. During the summer we live in the boat. These days I find 90 days is the maximum live aboard time.

@@svcyclops Love the boat, great choice. For the 90 days, are you referring to comfort or for tax reasons :)?

@nickmillington9813 After 90 days the EU asks me to leave. But also after that period of time the marina showers, no ice for drinks, morning dew on the hatches, swell and all the other tiresome features of cruising begin to tire us. We did many years of full time on the last boat but it was bigger. Still boat life is wonderful yet tiring.
