I’m self taught in photography started off doing portrait photography not gonna lie I did not enjoy it once I got into product photography I found that I thrive so much at it… the only thing I was missing was a blueprint and how to go about organizing building my portfolio, so this weekend I started organizing and also created Pinterest which I did not know you could post content there as well, now that I have that up in running I need to work on my website. The editing software costs more than getting lighting equipment 😂 but I agree. I started off editing bad quality pictures and had to rely on my editing to make the pictures nice and that’s given me a huge boost

I'd say maybe 4-6 months. I served at a restaurant while I worked on getting the business up and running. Luckily I had flexible hours and only worked evenings so I was able to dedicate a lot of free time to studying and practicing :)

Analyzing and establishing short term goals is the best way to succeed long term! I like to think of a our business as something that’s always evolving and even still, our goals are constantly cycling between clients-money-and portfolio. Everyone starts somewhere! I believe that your pricing should reflect your skill level, not industry standards. At first, some may consider product photography as a secondary job or even a hobby. Once they are confident in their skills $30 is absolutely too low!
