I drove 60 miles to buy a new Titan my ride from these guys (Ocala location). I had local dealers but these guys have a passion for what they do. Well worth the drive. If anyone is on the fence about these Toro machines they are great go get one. If you are in the area give these guys a chance to earn your business. Sounds like i work for them I dont im just a very impressed customer.

I have a 2024 time cutter max with about 15hrs on it. It has already melted and froze up 1 throttle cable. Ordered a new one from toro. Installed it yesterday. After 2hrs of mowing it is melting . The choke cable has melted as well. Any suggestions? I’m thinking of adding some kind of plate over the muffler. The melting is happening right where the cable is attached with clamp at the motor

Thanks for this comparison. I bought a 54" havoc edition Max about a month ago and recently posted a few videos about it. Totally agree with a lot of your points. The features they removed on the new ones (speed mode, AL forks, etc) really aren't used once you're used to driving it. I bought mine because of the 5" height and 5 gal gas tank. Did not know that the old one didn't have a removable deck plate and am so glad I got one that did. So much easier to clean and repair. I do wish the new one had a way to view the gas level, but it looks like the old one would have been hard to view anyways and gone un-used. Plus, my Troy-Bilt lawn tractor wasn't much easier to view the gas level, though at least I was able to somewhat check the gas level while on the mower.

Today I went to buy a Ferris because I watched a previous video you posted about the difference between the Toro and Ferris competing models. I wound up buying the Toro for two reasons. I drove the Toro first felt pretty good and comfortable a little tight in the turns plenty of room and power. I then jumped on the Ferris and the first thing that happened was a big puff of smoke from the Briggs. I drove it the same distance and it was a rougher ride but turned a little better felt I had a little more control. The Ferris had a 42 inch deck which was smaller than the Toro 50” but it was not as comfortable as the Toro. It wasn’t about the money just the fact the Toro was much more roomer and comfortable and I trust the Kawasaki engine more than the Briggs.

"A Cut Above the Rest: 2024 Tmecutter 50'" I recently purchased the 2024 Tmecutter 50" Tuesday of this week, and couldn't be happier with my decision. This residential lawnmower is a powerhouse that exceeds expectations. The comfortable gaming-style seat and sturdy steel deck make mowing a breeze. The 23 HP Kawasaki engine provides ample power, outperforming other popular brands like Kohler, Briggs, or Toro in my opinion. While it's not a commercial-grade mower, it's definitely built to last. If you're in the market for a high-performance residential lawnmower, I highly recommend taking the Tmecutter 50" for a spin. You won't be disappointed!

Interesting comparison. Some totally different views on a few of the points than I mentioned in my recent comparison. For example - I use that “fuel indicator” on my 2020 machine all the time. AND I love those new tires on the back. Thanks for the differences of opinion. It’s always interesting to see how people view features/benefits different based on their experiences/use.

I bought a new Toro SS5000 50" zero turn about 12 years ago. The Kawasaki engine is by far the best engine ever and the best feature and still runs like a top w/no smoke. The VERY WORST feature is the POS deck! It's total pressed steel junk. I suppose it'd be OK for some town guy with a small lawn. 50" deck actually cuts about 46-48". It takes me 3.5-5 hours to mow my lawn nonstop. Another thing about the worthless deck is it constantly plugged up, and the blades aren't staggered enough as there is always an about 1-2" wide strip of uncut grass between the LH and center blade, no matter how slow I go. Ugh! Last year, I bought a new Husqvarna 54" zero turn with the exact same bullet proof Kawasaki engine. THAT was the main reason for buying it. The Toro 12 years ago cost $3100, the most I'd ever paid for a mower. The Husky was $2895, also with a pressed steel deck but has thinner steel blades that wear out quickly. The Husky's gas tank has no level view, ugh. Two wrongs don't make a right. I guess I should have gotten a loan and bought a commercial grade manufactured deck mower for more than triple or quadruple the price. I will NOT be buying any Toro mower ever again... nor a Husky. One more thing, both brands have ultra convenient (spigots?) to hook up a garden hose to clean the decks. BUT no matter how long you run the water, it will not clean out the 'shelf' along the front. That must be done by hand, ugh. So, you can keep your ugh, Florida mowers made 70 miles away in Minnesota. Strong PASS for me. Maybe a Kubota or even a Grasshopper next time but for now I'll just suffer.

I recently purchased the Timecutter MAX 54" model and discovered that the Motion-Control Levers aren't aligned properly. No matter how I adjust the handles or swap them around, they remain uneven. I don't know if this is normal on the MAX. I would love it if you could make a video on how to set properly the Timecutter MAX, handles, speed, etc... By the way, thanks a lot for your videos, I learn a lot thanks to you.

I work for a Mom and Pop hardware store that sells Toro/Ferris/Husqvarna/Wright/walker, and when this new max series for the Toros came in, I was like what the bleep. It reminded me too much of the cub cadets/craftsman mowers. I am not a fan of how the fuel tank filler is. You can’t even tell how much fuel you have in the machine, let alone figuring out where to stop it at. The filler kept should’ve been on top like everything else, not on the side. The next thing is the PTO switch. Someone is bound to think it’s going to be a light switch and hurt someone. It should’ve just been the standard push/pull switch like before, not a rocker switch. i’m a bit questionable on the Steering handle arms it may be nice to have multi point positioning for comfort, but I think there’s going to be problems with people snapping them off

As someone who mows 75 lawns a week and uses exmark professional equipment, I am constantly looking at these as a backup for when the inevitable happens and my 60 in Lazer Z goes in the shop. You mention that "you've had landscapers use them" and I'm curious as to why a mower costing this much wouldn't be recommended for my accounts? Is it because it just can't handle being run for 6 hours a day? I don't do "commercial" accounts, just reg homes so I'm curious as to if this could get the jobs done in a pinch while I wait 3-4 weeks every time for the fix it shop to get my main mower back. 🤷

I bought a brand new Toro TimeCutter in 2022 worst mower ever
@ericteal71184 ай бұрын
Toro has never been my favorite brand to start with. When I first began to see their name on yard equipment, I bought a push mower . This was years ago , AND , if they make weed eaters ,( I believe they do ), I bought one of those as well , possibly two. Everything I bought from that brand performed mediocre at best.. it just never did impress me at all. So I can’t see spending this kind of money on a zero turn , from a company that let me down in their early days. Early days for any business should be as close to flawless as possible to build the reputation.. they didn’t . I’m in the market for a zero turn to , right now ! Cash money ! I just have to find something worth the money these companies are asking for .
@chiphawthorne42484 ай бұрын
Dang sorry I hear this. Yes, in the past, Toro has made string trimmers, and they were not that good. It was something they had to carry to sell Mowers at the big box stores , so they had them made through a third-party . But their mowers they do make and they are fantastic. They’ve been making Mowers for over 100 years. Every blade of PGA golf course grass is cut with a Toro. Disney World is cut with a Toro. It is unfortunate that your only Toro experience is from their least expensive entry level product. If you are serious about buying a good Zero Turn Toro in my opinion is the best option. They have the best dealer network, best customer service, fastest parts turnaround, best quality of cut and incredible warranties. It would be worth your time to good by a real toro dealer and see for yourself self. If your in Florida stop by MainStreetMower.

Great video boys. I just picked up a 2024 Max "Havoc" 54" and while waiting for delivery tomorrow watching some vids. I did try a 2023 as well and really enjoyed the low stance of it. But for a few bucks more the 2024 seemed like the better beast overall. I also compared to John Deere 500s, Hustlers and Spartans. For my money the Toro took the cake. I got to test these all on some steep hills as well... even the older smaller Timecutter did fine. Actually I enjoyed it more for being lower and having a low center of gravity versus some of the larger mowers.

I have a 2020 50" Timecutter and it's been great! I had a John Deere that was twice as expensive before I got the Toro and it lasted 3 years before the motor blew. This Timecutter has been flawless! Starts the first time even in the spring after sitting all winter! The Kohler 24hp motor runs like a top, doesn't use oil, the deck is really easy to adjust on the fly, it's easy to take the deck off, it's low to the ground so you can bend over and pick up things on the ground, and it's easy to see how much gas you have. I have no complaints!

I have a 2015 Toro Timecutter MX5050 model 74770 with 625 hours and have never had a problem that I would not trade for either of these new mowers. My MX5050 has the serviceable Hydro Gear XT-2800 transmission (very smooth and free of problems) that I work very hard pulling my lawn cart full of mulch (12 - 2.5 c/f bags) weighted aerators and my 25 gallon Brinley Hardy tank sprayer when not mowing my one acre lawn. Additionally, my MX5050 came with that powerful, silky-smooth, 24 hp, and totally trouble-free Kohler 7000 series KT735 engine that uses absolutely zero oil (Mobil1 10-30 synthetic). The cut I get with my Toro bagger is phenomenal! It is always crisp, totally even and flat looking as if professionally cut (even when mowing at 4") and never boggs or labors even when grass gets much taller than it should. The seat that came with it is highly padded, high- back, and with arm rests, which I dearly love, especially when getting on or off the mower. The automatic choke on the engine is very nice, as is the electrically activated parking brakes that are set when lap bars are spread outward. No, they do not make them like they used to - will hang on to my MX5050, thank you! Note: I am a stickler for doing maintenance often before it is due and having sharp blades
