I bought a timemaster in 2017. Approximately 3.5 years after purchase, the engine head developed a problem. Toro said too bad, it is out of warranty. I paid for a new motor. Last year the transmission went bad. Today my machine is at a dealer for new pullies. The machine is a great tool when it works but I have never had a mower with so many problems. I put approximately 50 hrs. a year on it as a homeowner. Buyer beware.!!!

Not defending anything, but engine manufacturers warranty their engines, not the mower. Unfortunately, B&S's warranty coverage and Toro's are very different. Toro is great at it. But there is not one engine manufacturer that steps up to the plate in the same way. I know a lot of people with the time master. Issues like yours are quite the exception. Still stinks for you. Just wanted some context out there for others.

@@andrewschmaltz2201 Understood. Toro praises their use of Briggs engines. My dealer told me that he saw several Timemasters of this vintage with this problem. I believe that Toro not going to bat for a customer reflects on them as well.

I had 4 of these (2) with the kohlers id stick to the one with the Kawasaki I never had problems with those.

This is exactly what ive been looking for. Im looking at the Turfmaster and the upgraded HDX version for my lawn care business. Both in used condition. The original Turfmaster has come down quite a bit used. Is the HDX that much more worth it to go for? It is approximately double the price used. Wondering if i could get your thoughts. Thank you.

I don’t know why more companies don’t make 30 inch decks. My lawn is too big for a 22 inch deck or 21 inch deck, but too small for a 40 inch deck.

I agree. Good to know TORO has recognized that gap in the market.

I totally agree ! I'm going to buy a new push mower in the Spring. Still looking for a push mower , 30-32 inch width, and it doesn't cost too much.

In your opinion what would be the best battery powered mower Toro,stihl,Milwaukee,ego,Makitta, Lowes kobalt,Home Depot ryobi Home Owner Plus is the battery time master toro 30” really worth the extra money over the other toro battery powered

If you are interested in a snowblower also, then it’s Toro - no contest. And you have dealer support.

I like my electric equipment. It fits my needs well. And when the battery won’t charge, I buy another.

I have a new Toro battery mower, it sucks, drive wheel falls off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back. They do not take items back if you use it for 1 minute! Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Two others have the same problem. Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safety Commission case number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.

I have a Toro Timemaster that thing is a grass clippings clogger 👎🏽 save yourself $1500-$1600 not worth it

@@mainstreetmower yeah it’s like that since day one. I had it for 3 years now, it’s what customers complain the most about, grass pilling up under the deck even at one cut. It gives a great lawn cut. I had to modify mine and cut a double sided discharge “not safe” and keep the bagger door opened without the grass catcher. I have to wear long rubber boots or I will look like a grass Sasquatch when I’m done. Overall it’s a good machine but for those reasons, I would not recommend.
