Just came here to say this *actually* works! I do OrangeTheory and my hair held up. My only modification was doing four ponies (b/c I’m head sweaty) and pin curling the ponytails in place (away from my scalp-kinda looked like mouse ears) with the duck clips. I let it air dry for an hour, but still hit it with the blow dryer just to be safe. Turned out 🤌🏾

My only reservation - I’m a 4 year licensed cosmetologist, is blow drying sweat and dirt on top of hair permits it to get even deeper into the cuticle layer of the hair. I do like that it’s warm air and then cool though instead of high heat ! I would say depending on your strand texture, be careful ! Especially if you have fine strands , it may weakened your strands packing in dirt , pollutants , sweat excessively over time. I’d use this technique as needed ( maybe the 1st week of the press) and the last week not so much , because by then sweat, dirt, particles & pollutants have accumulated , but otherwise thank you for sharing !

I live in The Woodlands TX outside of Houston and it’s like 100 degrees and I just worked out on treadmill, bike and stair master drenched in sweat! Couldn’t believe my edges were still straight! Thank you! This worked very well for me yesterday and I did not need to blow dry on cool after my workout. I did 47 minutes of cardio. This will be my go-to style, I didn't have the same head wraps as yo,u so I used a satin scarf. Game changer!

Does it not get smelly if you keep the sweat soaked band on to dry?? I sweat a lot, I usually take the band off immediately after exercise, it’s dripping with sweat… blow out doesn’t last through one session :/
