I've been watching Your KZbin channel for a while now. Your sarcasm makes me laugh !! I drove for CMP for about a year, picked up at large and small dairy's around Chino, San Jacinto, Barstow, and El Mirage. Of all my years doing different lines of work going to dairy's had to have been the most enjoyable !! Would love to know where Your farm is to bring my Grandkids to see. I grew up on a dairy farm (Holsteins mostly) in Maine...I miss it...sadly our family farm isn't much of a farm any more. My uncle raises a few animals for his own use and cuts hay for sale. I even miss digging post holes and driving cedar posts to fix the barbed wire fences

Glad your all feeling better. My grandkids come to my house in the morning for breakfast and brought grandma the flu. But we are feeling better now. Kids are back to normal. It’s hard to watch a little guy be sick. I felt so bad for them.

Fourth gen here as well. Your girls look great!! Amazing how repairs on a Texas dairy are the same as in Minnesooota!!! Gates, stalls, headlocks, and waters. I aways blame the Jerseys and their tongues, they just look guilty. And yes, the milkhouse floor before the inspector comes. Side note, I have a friend with four daughters, he always says there's no shortage of guys to help out on the farm!!! I bet your dad would agree.

My uncle did it on a smaller scale than your family but it was still more than a full time job,plus he had 2000 acres of corn and 2000 acres of beans. The cold that you had there, well it's not good for Citrus at all, this was the 3rd cold snap of the winter now and it has hurt my trees, and I do not know how much will come back. But this is what farming is all about, you take the risk and keep marching forward and do what you have to do to make it. I will never go back to that living in the sunbirds and have my freedom taken away from me. If the crop fails that is OK and I will keep on doing what has to be done. I do not want any kind of government hand out, I own my farm out right and will roll with the changes, What a great song by REO Speedwagon. I worked on a dairy farm in Michigan for a very short period. I remember the first day how I did everything I could to stay clean and avoid stepping in manure. By the second day I was covered in shit and couldn't care less. My wife wasn't too happy with me when I came home though. I was a pastor of a struggling inner city church at the time and was looking for a part time job to help financially (had 8 kids to feed), but the milking hours just didn't work for me. I really liked the farm.

For those who have not been to a family dairy farm: Dairy farming is one of, if not, the hardest, most involved lines of work one could pursue. I come from a dairy farm. It is a lifestyle that never stops, for the whole family - everyday, all day 365. She is a worker. And it can be dangerous, my Father was killed by a Holstein bull one day as he prepared for afternoon milking.

Very amusing video, be prowd of your work, in Sweden vi just produce 50 % of what we eat the rest are imported...lots of farmers give up, i think we produce 90%of dairy products... I’m impressed whether you’re beautiful or not. A dear friend I worked with in law enforcement grew up on a dairy farm and worked very hard from way before sunrise to long after. You’re never off the clock and it’s 365 days a year. They lost the farm and to this day he says he would go back. Only special people can handle this job. Or rather life.
