Is there a way I could contact you for advice? I lost my son 4 yrs ago. His 2004 Q45 has sat in my driveway since. Through grief I'd done nothing with it. If possible, I would like to use the car now, it would require state inspection and any repairs needed. I paid so much money(I know they ripped me off) for my own 2003 Grand Prix. It needs work still. I just put a battery in the Q45. It smoked a lot, but the engine smoothed out and sounded solid. I am on a fixed income and can't afford thousands like I paid on my Grand Prix. I am considering one of those traveling mechanics. I would appreciate any advice you could give me.

Hey Colin, I will try to look at some videos I recorded to see where I saw it when I was disassembling my front end. Sometimes they have a plunger, and sometimes the circuit is completed by the strikers being inside the hood latches. if I may ask what is going on? Is your car saying that the hood/bonnet is open? I will

​@@EdBwoy Thank you so Much, The Red warning light For the Bonnet is illuminated on the Guage cluster, I worked on the car, removing the air box, up stream Nox sensor & cleaned the DPF Filter , also after this Repair/ Service. I used wax oil to protect the under Bonnet hard to reach cross member and chassis, suspension steel that was showing signs of rust. Possibly some of this overspray may have found the Bonnet sender ? I used old engine oil, to lubricate Bonnet release assembly's. Yet it was after this work my warning light illuminated , I I have had many searches to locate it, l must be looking in the wrong area . I will keep looking through your videos to see if I can spot it, Thank you for all you do and also getting back to me so quickly. Your help is much appreciated. 👍 Kind regards .

Found it 👍, It is located O/S/F Bonnet latch , once the latch is removed it can be seen easily ( small micro switch ) I cleaned it with brake clean fluid and its working fine. I waited to post this just incase the fault returned. Thank you 👍

Not an issue. It's just that someone set your reminder 2 to "alarm" at that specific number of miles. You decide for yourself what you want reminder 2 to be

Even when the numbers are not specified, you can decide to make them whatever you want them to be... Tires, oil, car wash etc. All it is is a mileage reminder to *"do something"* every X miles

Right respectfully asking though if in case it’s an factory set maintenance required log do you know by any chance what they define logs 1-4 I just bought the car off a dealer so I don’t know if it’s factory set & if so what is required maintenance 1-4
