Don't quote me on this but I believe it is to help them cool off on very hot days and to stop the flies from getting into their eyes, again don't quote me on this as I haven't done horse riding in so long.

@@poppytea3333 Ohh. It seemed a risky thing to do, unless there was some good reason for it (risky = horses would run around blindly, try to remove it). I knew about temporary blindfolding, to get a horse that's panicked, into or out of somewhere more safely. Just puzzled about what's going on re. these videos..Thank you.

You're showing video of horses that are reacting to stress and are mostly filled with anxiety. I would recommend you learn more about horses and not subject them or put them in situations that lead to this kind of behavior, that everyone seems to think is funny. It's just sad, once you understand the fight/flight behavior of horses and how things like this lead to bad behaviors and then people wonder why their horses have problems.
