Artist Maira Kalman and curator Alex Kalman developed the exhibition "Sara Berman’s Closet" as a tribute to their family matriarch. Originally installed at New York’s Mmuseumm and then The Met, the exhibition later traveled to the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia (the setting for this interview with the mother-son creative duo). Host Paula Marantz Cohen and the Kalmans explore the depth of "Sara Berman’s Closet," their family heritage, and the power of art in everyday lives and spaces.
Recorded April 4, 2019 at the National Museum of American Jewish History (Philadelphia, PA, USA). This episode preview is a production of Marketing & Media, Pennoni Honors College.
