@@freshaccount4709 honestly just makes me more hyped for future kits Like fontaine was cool because they used alt weapons (lyney cards, wrio gauntlets, neuvilette cane + Kamehameha, navia gunbrella + axe if you pulled her sig, etc) But now it feels like a character can just do anything and that opens up so many cool posibilies

@@entegiI’m a bit mixed tho more on the positive side of it. Different is good, but it shouldn’t clash with the rest of the game either. Rollerblades and DJing isn’t crazy with Sumerus internet. But Mavuika in a biker outfit and potentially riding a whole ass motorcycle would be pretty ridiculous. Especially since Natlan isn’t even supposed to be especially advanced in tech. It shouldn’t have more advanced tech to the nations that are literally all about tech.

There're videos from Explorer's compass breaking down all the reference and inspiration in each nations of Genshin. I would to love to see him break down Natlan's reference.

To me it look like the good old conservative vs progressive. On the right side of the map you have the conservative who does not want any change to fear of an uncertain futur. So they keep everything traditionnal and what they know worked the best from their knowledge. Then the more you go on the left, the more you get close to the progressive psychology which are where the Fatui live. The ones who want to change the world. Its the risk of a uncertain futur in order to get something better or different. I think what it is awesome with this game is their is not really a good or bad party. You just have to take what you relate on. For estance, some people liked genshin 1.0 and dont want it to change. Genshin establish a world and they want that world to be the same forever. Other want this game to take more risky and different approche. Its just two different ideology.

I think the design inspiration for Natlan is Afropunk which blends the futuristic with more traditional native designs. Best example of Afropunk in modern media is probably Wakanda from the MCU.
