I Finally Watch Battle for Battle for Dream Island (BFB) Season 4 of BFDI after the original Battle for Dream Island, BFDIA and IDFB. Battle for BFDI introduces the new hosts Four and X, along with all new objects and characters from previous seasons! The hilarious insanity continues with jacknjellify's animation as the contestants compete against each other in 8 teams (A Better Name Than That, Beep, Bleh, Death P.A.C.T., Free Food, iance, Team Ice Cube!, and The Losers!) to win Dream Island! Diving deeper into the world of BFDI only gets more crazy and more insane, and BFB proves that with it's bizarre new cast of characters, relationships and wild unhinged adventures... also four is really creepy. Basically, when BFB 28 released, TPOT 1 came out before BFB 29 but when BFB was done, TPOT 2 and further on episodes are coming out. So if you'd like, you can watch TPOT 1 after finishing BFB 28 just like we all have back when it came out. It's a suggestion but you can choose what you feel more comfortable with.

Here it is! The split! Everything prior to the split is referred to in the community as Pre-Split BFB with everything after being referred to as Post-Split BFB. The video "The Secret Behind BFB's Split" on Jacknjellify explains why the show split the way it did but to summarise the reasons why the split happened; the showrunner of BFB produced episodes too slowly so they put her to work on a new season (TPOT) while a new showrunner who could make episodes faster for BFB because the Huang Twins realised that at the rate episodes were being produced they wouldn't see the finale of BFB until they were somewhere around 60 years old. It should also be noted that Post-Split also marked a bunch of new animators getting hired (all episodes prior to this point were animated by a group of 5-6 people with many of these people also being the showrunners, writers, voice actors, story boarders, and even the Huang Twins themselves). Some people don't like Post-Split due to the lower standard of quality the show took on due to the inexperience of the new showrunner with writing for BFDI and the influx of new inexperienced animators (a lot of the animators that worked on Post-Split left a couple episodes into Post-Split) but we'll see how you find it.

yeaah honestly the animation issue is the one thing that bothered me the most about post-split. i honestly didnt notice much else, but the random jumps in animation quality and style made bfb 17 feel like a literal MAP. it was more jarring than in even way lower budget object shows. though it smooths itself back out quickly enough

Animators were hired during BFB 13 and 14, but yeah. BFB 16 was the turning point where more animators started getting their part. Either way, BFB 13 was where the animation got much better. Almost every character began to feel more squash and stretch, as well as being more expressive.

Post-Split BFB is defiantly amazing. I'd say it's okay to start watching TPOT, but not watch it too far as later TPOT episodes contain things from later in post-split. Ok, this'll be a little complicated, but I'll want you to remember this for later, so be sure to pay attention: So yes, you should keep watching BFB for a while, but if you want to, you can watch TPOT 1 whenever you want, even though chronologically it takes place in between BFB 27 and 28. However, it is crucial that you don't watch TPOT 2 before you finish BFB for context reasons. To make things the least confusing, I would recommend finishing BFB all the way through to episode 30, then moving on to TPOT 1 and every episode on after that.

So basically The creators of Battle for Dream Island decided to split the show, after realizing that the stakes have gotten too high, and at the pace BFB was going, a winner wouldn't be announced for DECADES So they decided to split the show. Four's side would remain, as BFB, in a new location, with only 14 contestants (Woody, Bubble, Blocky, Taco, Gelatin, Spongy, Leafy, Firey, Teardrop, Flower, Loser, Balloony, Lollipop and Ruby). BFB has ended, and (redacted) won the season. The remaining 40 contestants have left Four, and are battling for The Power of Two (TPOT), which is currently ongoing, and has 10 episodes as of me typing this comment. The original plan was that the 40 were gonna be killed off, and the 14 contestants left would finish BFB. Thankfully it was just an idea. The BFB episodes after the split are known as "post-split", or "season 4b", and the episodes that come before it (including BFB 16) are called "pre-split", or "season 4a" TPOT episodes come out not very often - usually there's a gap of a few months between episodes (The newest one came out in March, and another one should be coming out within the next few weeks), but these episodes have very polished animation and deep storylines. It's vote-to-save - So whoever gets the *fewest* votes is eliminated! I'd recommend you watch the rest of BFB first - because there's some context that'll be important Then, watch TPOT afterwards

@Mairusu , if you didn't know, 2763 is a common number used as a joke in BFDI referencing to the distance between the island BFDI's contest happened on (The Plains) and Yoyleland. If you noticed, a lot of times through out all the different shows (BFDI, BFDIA, IDFB, BFB and TPOT), when someones talks about a large scaling measure, it will pratically always be 2763.

I recommend Watching the BFB and TPOT in release order. It follows the same pattern and timeline. Also because you made BFDIA a split reaction chain, you don’t have to worry about it. Hey, so I have to say, you should start watching TPOT after episode 30 of BFB (the finale). Also, we're about to get to my least favorite episode of post split, episode 20 isn't that good, but it gets better

Yeah Post Split has a weak start but gets better as it goes on (although I wouldn't particularly say it's that great (I'd even say Post Split is the worst chunk of the whole show)

I recommend watching TPOT (the power of two) after because some of the later episodes were made AFTER the finale of BFB, so watching TPOT now might spoil some later things that happen in BFB.

Mairusu, it would take 2,763 hours to tell you all of the recurring jokes, memes and references that has happened ever since BFDI. :3 On the topic of whether you should watch TPOT on top of watching BFDIA, BFB, One and Inanimate Insanity, you should conclude BFB first since TPOT is still on going. :)
