Fun fact: In expurgation the thing you're facing against isn't tricky they're called "Skeletons" and are minions Tricky can create after he gets the Auditors abilities (the black dude at the end of the cutscene is the auditor for those curious) they're a hivemind that can basically noclip so that's why they came out of a black hole ((also the song name expurgation is a reference to Madness Combat: Expurgation which is the episode they premired in)) there are also skeletons that look less like tricky They gave halos on their heads due to the halo being a keypart of that part of the series which is the sole reason tricky has this sort of power

(Kind of spoilers for Madness??) Btw, the flaming black character that's shown at the end of the cutscene is the Auditor. He's pretty much the main antagonist in Madness Combat. The reason Tricky stopped is because the only thing making him alive and extremely powerful is the immprobability drive implanted in his head. The Auditor has control over said drive, and the other 2 (possibly 3) in the series. It's theorized that Hank might have one too, but idk.

I'll spit some facts: The song at the start is the song of madness combat 1 The tricky at the start is from madness combat4 The menu is a "reference" to madness:project nexus,the official madness combat game The tricky in phase 3 isn't from madness combat 6 and 7,is the one from madness accelerant,a fan game The character with the red glasses is called hank and it's the ""heroe"" of madness combat,while tricky is one of the bad guys and he hates hank so much that everytime tricky killed hank he revived him Banbuds wanted to put a "meow" that tricky would say like in madness accelerant When you die,tricky literally KILLS you with the stop sign and the original hurt sound from madness combat can be heard The shadow character at the end is called the auditor and he's the chief of the A.A.H.W.(agency against hank wimbleton and yes,there's an agency that exists just to kill hank wimbleton and he killed like 2000 of their man practically alone,with a little help from sanford and deimos) This character is tricky but with jebus's halo and that makes him extremely powerful,also he has an army of infinite skeleton clowns The scenario is auditor's personal hell

To explain Expurgation Tricky was ACTUALLY killed and his corpse was absorbed by the Auditor (The guy on the monitor after phase 3) while he had Jesus' Halo which was a bad idea And Tricky brought hank and the others into Auditor's Hell but instead of the Auditor controlling it Tricky is the one who has control And the spikes coming out of the ground is the Auditor trying to Kick Tricky out (I think) I'm not 100% sure about this info but anyway that's why he has a Halo and looks like a skeleton
