Mr Raghu 1st tell me your age If you are below 30 years read the details narrated here under and understand in full But if your age is above 30 you yourself will be able to grasp the ongoing developments of the world without any body's assistance During the early part of 1950 I visited Bangalore for the first time I'm my life and stayed there for 4 to 5 days and if I remember going by walk seeing some areas around the present MAJESTIC But after joining govt job I am frequently going to Bangalore from Mysore from 1968 to1998 on official duty I am under utter confusion as to the growth of Bangalore from 50 to 1994 and perhaps I am under the impression that the city of Bangalore will be a greater one But on seeing the Bangalore daily life and reading the daily newspaper it has become a headquarters of all MAFIA and common people living under utter fear so to say Being a citizen of Mysore City from the past 78 years and leading the retired life from 2001 onwords there is no doubt in my mind once this city is of a PENSIONERS PARADISE will also become a MAFIA CITY LIKE Bangalore If any senior citizens of this city wants to study he will also come to the conclusion like me UPTO THE WADEYARS ERA THAT is 1969 Mysore moving somewhat smoothly But after that these power and money mongers swallowed the entire beauty of this city and in another 20 years or so it will become a garbage city without any doubt

By reading the comments made by so many people about lighting at night during DASARA I am surprised that these people have not seen so much of Night lighting in their life In their mind DASARA means lighting and nothing else I will narrate below what actually Mysore Dasara Means and the present generation starts wondering the undermentioned details dated back to 1969 and Prior period To start with from day 1 The Mysore Palace will be adorned with colours and grandeur and the Maharaja in other words God of Mysore Dasara comes to the Dunbar hall stand on the golden throne saluting before 21 gun salutes and we use to witness this by standing on the side of the gun house Inside the palace and in front of the place opposite MAHARAJAS throne are 6 to 7 Band sets along with troupes numbering 600 to 700 standing on both sides of the place From day 1 to the day prior to Ayudha Pooja Maharaja will come to the Dunbar hall and stand saluting for the song. KAAYUOSRI GOWRI KARUNA LAHARI TOYAAJAKSHI SHANKARISHWARI After this Maharaja will sit on the throne everyday till 8 in the night and at 8 the Maharaja stands and salutes for the national anthem before dispersing Some selected people will be allowed with passes and they will sit in the Dunbar Hall with Dunbar Dress On the day of AYUDHA POOJA DAY MAHARAJA WILL COME IN FRONT OF THE PALACE OFFER POOJAS to all the movable and immovable belongings of the palace including the animals The next day will be the day the entire Dasara crowd is waiting for all these days and that is the world famous JAMBU SAFARI DAY It is a 2 way Procession starting from inside the palace and ends at inside the palace at about 10 in the night The Procession consists of persons of ARMY NAVY AIRFORCE SCOUTS SEVERAL PALACE PERSONNEL 12 TO 20 BANDS ETC animals belonging to palace and others the total length will be approximately 2 to 3 Kms Finally the Maharaja will sit in an elephant started to move out of palace at around 4 to 4 30 in the evening and reaches Bannimantap offers pooja to Bannimantap tree attends torch light parade and returns through the roads full of lights .people sitting and standing on the side of the road Some people put-upon placards LONG LIVE MAHARAJA people Witnessing the return Procession is 4 times more the people Witnessing the starting direction On the AYUDHA POOJA DAY FIREWORKS LIT THE SKY I am of the view that those crowd who have witnessed the MAHARAJAS DASARA ERA WILL NOT HAVE MUCH INTEREST in this type of MONEY SPENDING DASARA IF anybody wants more information about MAHARAJAS DASARA THEY.
