I couldn't sleep, so I decided to look up videos on crocheted baby blankets. I'm making one for a friend who is due in May. I came across your video and will be going out to my local Hobby Lobby for supplies, today. This is a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to start this project. I'm self taught via KZbin and have followed along many videos. I have made many scarfs, hats, wash cloths, baby blankets and afghans. However, i still feel like a beginner. While this pattern seems difficult, you made it look incredibly easy. Your tutorial is fantastic! I'm now a subscriber! And, I subscribed to your emails, as well. Thank you so much for this video. I had the same problem and it was because my tension was too tight
@MaisieandRuth2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, this will be because your foundation chain is too tight. You can chain very loosely or use a bigger hook size to achieve a relaxed starting chain. It might be best to start off and practise this stitch with a small sample first. Hope this helps 💝

Hi Amanda- I am crocheting this blanket at the moment. I have a question that as the blanket is growing, it seems to be pulling down at the edges. I again tried knitting with loose chains as in the video, it is a bit better but still not straight lines. Any suggestions as to what might I be doing wrong or would the edging fix this later? Please advise. Thanks xx
@MaisieandRuth2 жыл бұрын
Hi Priya, it sounds like your foundation chain wasn't loose enough. Unless it's pulling really badly, then adding the border and doing some gentle blocking should remedy this problem 💝
