Thanks this will be only my 6 blanket in as many months. 5 babies in no time, now the bigger kids want one and they don’t want them to look alike. Gives the sewing machine a break and another is embroidering initials onto stuff for them. A little shy about the stitching but love the look. Will work on it soon though.

I couldn't sleep, so I decided to look up videos on crocheted baby blankets. I'm making one for a friend who is due in May. I came across your video and will be going out to my local Hobby Lobby for supplies, today. This is a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to start this project. I'm self taught via KZbin and have followed along many videos. I have made many scarfs, hats, wash cloths, baby blankets and afghans. However, i still feel like a beginner. While this pattern seems difficult, you made it look incredibly easy. Your tutorial is fantastic! I'm now a subscriber! And, I subscribed to your emails, as well. Thank you so much for this video. PS...I couldn't find how you attached your pompoms.

@MaisieandRuth 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, this will be because your foundation chain is too tight. You can chain very loosely or use a bigger hook size to achieve a relaxed starting chain. It might be best to start off and practise this stitch with a small sample first. Hope this helps 💝

Hi Amanda- I am crocheting this blanket at the moment. I have a question that as the blanket is growing, it seems to be pulling down at the edges. I again tried knitting with loose chains as in the video, it is a bit better but still not straight lines. Any suggestions as to what might I be doing wrong or would the edging fix this later? Please advise. Thanks xx

Hi Priya, it sounds like your foundation chain wasn't loose enough. Unless it's pulling really badly, then adding the border and doing some gentle blocking should remedy this problem 💝

I’m following this pattern just now but I couldn’t get deramore as the white is out of stock on love crafts. Is there any other yarn you would recommend. I’m using style craft but I’m not sure if it’s the right one x

Your blanket looks great and it’s an amazing tutorial❤️. But I made the first row too tight. So my blanket is a bit wonky. Is there anyway to fix that. Or should I just start again?? I’m on row 11 😭😭

Hi! If I wanted to make this blanket in a bigger size, how would I go on about it. Does the chain start in muliples of something?
@MaisieandRuth

You can use any number of chains for this blanket (add an extra 3 for the foundation chain). You can find more information about this in the description box (below the video). Thank you, I hope that you enjoy making it! 💝

Hi Amanda I have already ordered the wool in dk weight thinking you were going to make the blanket in the same yarn as the set. How many balls of yarn would I need.

Hi Farah, how many balls of the DK yarn did you order? If you're using a worsted / aran weight yarn you will need 4 balls.

I followed the instructions exactly, chaining 47 etc. However my blanket isn’t measuring 24 inches and in my second row i only have 41 stitches. Is this a major problem and do I need to do anything different?
