That's exactly what I thought, I started with this sentiment of "I don't think Martin would have ever made this..." almost in a negative way, and I think by the time I had fully pulled apart the final look, that same sentiment turned positive, it's not Martin's work, obviously because he didn't make it, it's Galliano's vision, but Galliano isn't alienating what Martin made and what his philosophy is, he's expanding on it and he's bringing a unisex concept to principles that used to exist in very polarised ways and I love that.

This entire collection is absolutely flawless. The styling, the location even down to the choice of music I think it all really meshed well together. Leon absolutely killed this runway as he does every show. This one in particular is definitely my new favorite from him. The aesthetic and the art of the clothing fits him so well.

I have followed this label since John Galliano took the helm as creative director. I have to say this is one of his best collections. I think the veiled hats are quite elegant, even when worn by male models. It's great that there are still fashion houses that allow the designer free reign to express their creativity. We just witnessed the demise of Alessandro Michele from Gucci when the company wanted to return to more mainstream luxury clothing.

Michele is indeed talented but in my opinion, he sent out so many different looks that it became unidentifiable as Gucci. With so many competing brands, there has to be a distinction. Here, with Galliano there is.

@@sigisings I began to think the same thing in regards to Michele. He wasn't able to edit his collection and sent out too many looks and many of them seemed random. There hardly ever looked like there was any cohesiveness to what he designed. That being said, I was still surprised when Gucci let Michele go, because I thought the sales were doing impressively well.

The models put in that work, the music made it easier to serve their attitude. This is interesting, it didn’t feel like a waste of time to see. And required some multiple takes to process. Details are immaculately balanced imperfect perfection from head to toe. It cohesively brings/spans together a multitude of timeless references to eras of style like the many ways the footless tights are used (makes me think of whatever era Grease takes place in), pomo Tokyo street fashion, and that iconic legendary rat, Mickey Mouse (MM) for MMM. MM is a contradiction, and a living dream much like this collection. That cage skirt showing JW Anderson’s sloppy execution of a cage dress how it’s done. We have seen tulle but not like this, minimalist and sheer as can be counterbalanced with maximalist execution. The jackets are distressed yet sublime much like the human experience itself.

The Galliano Circus is the best show in town! Sure, the camera work adds to the energy, but there is a there, there. The models must love walking his show! The thing about Galliano is his looks are so deftly concieved, where each element has a story and life of its own. How he merges JG and MM, with a dash of Dior is genius!

I love it! I can really see John ID in it. It feels very now, very high fashion and very well put together. These 3 are hard to find together! There are so many big fashion houses in need of new creative director with vision and talent - can see John revamping Gucci, Dior or McQueen and bringing it to the next level not by controversies and translating tictock trends but by vision, chic abd creative mind! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

i see a fushion of punk western and very lady who lunch glam with the A coats. the pendleton collaboration is brilliant and his eyes for 18th century colors, or the victorian punk black and white very beautiful. the reverse collars are very noteworthy and i love the plad. this is the ultimate hipster collection. the native american references are beautiful.
