Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! With air dry clay you might want to put some cling film in between the ball tall and the clay si it's easier to remove. It could be that it's fine without, but just in case :)

I did see the end; lovely little stacks of lovely little bowls. I'm in the editing stage of a miniature pumpkin soup tutorial (for fairies of course) and my soup will be in acorn top bowls. I'd love to provide a link to this tutorial in case my viewers would like to make regular bowls instead of the acorn tops. You are great! I watch all of your tutorials! One question: when you create the bowls, what kind of polymer clay do you use? I guess it has to be one that is not very soft. Maybe Kato? Thank you! PS: Is there any chance that you do some courses/workshop in Rome? :)

How do you get the bowl off of the ball tool? Or can you bake it on the ball tool? Mine have a plastic in the middle and I'm not sure it can withstand the baking
@MaiveFerrando7 жыл бұрын
Because mine is metal I can get it off, don't put yours in the oven if it's plastic..use a glass marble instead :)
@Hermesdaughter337 жыл бұрын
Mine are also metal like yours and have a blue type of plastic for better gripping in the middle, just like yours. I'm wondering if maybe it's just the type of clay that I use, Sculpey. It's really soft and when I go to pull it off of the metal ball, it messes up by stretching out no matter how easy I try to be when pulling it off.

awesome video! :D i was wondering how you positioned the ball tool in the oven without deforming the shape of the bowl? x
@MaiveFerrando8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You'll have to raise that end of the ball tool like if your tray has a raised rim you can rest the ball tool on it making the ball stick out, or maybe put it on a plate or bowl, with the "bowl" end sticking out so that it doesn't touch anything. Hope that was clear ^_^

How can we take that bowl from that thing????
@MaiveFerrando4 жыл бұрын
Don't despair! hahaha You can either use your nail or a blade to gently, and I mean gently, peel the edge of the bowl off the ball and then use your fingers. Be carefully not to cover the ball past the middle or you won't be able to get it out, this is just common sense. If you went past the middle and baked it, then cut the edge of the bowl where you want it to be and remove it from the ball. Hope this makes sense!

How long do I bake? at 200 or 250?
@MaiveFerrando6 жыл бұрын
I bake them for 30 minutes to make sure they're cured through. I bake them between 110 and 120 degrees celsius. Never exceed 130 degrees celsius. Your polymer clay blocks should come with baking instructions and temperatures may vary from brand to brand.
