Kevin. I booked this hotel based on this video. We had the worst experience here of any hotel on our 30 day European vacation. Internet was non existent, the room was extremely small with a awkward 2nd level that only left enough room to step in and out of the bed. We stayed 5 days and one day had no housekeeping even after hanging requested service sign on the door. We were charged 95 euros per person for the breakfast buffet. Everyone experience is different. Ours was horrible

First of all, thanks for all your reviews! I love watching them even for places I don’t have any plans of visiting in the near future. I just returned from a stay at the Majestic, and I have to agree that the rooms are a low point of the hotel, with dated furniture and many small flaws (closet doors that would not close properly, a general lack of polish in the finish of the room). Service was, unfortunately, the worst part, and at times interactions with the breakfast waiters bordered on aggressive towards the guests. Funny enough, I had the opposite impression about the service, and left with a feeling that the guest was always wrong here. There were no smiles at all from the doormen at any point, or from any of the employees, for that matter.

If consistency was a reality, I'd bottle it and sell it. Unfortunately hotels these days seem to be changing with the wind a lot. Thanks for watching 🩴

This seems like the type of hotel I could enjoy. I may even be bold to it up there with the Savoy in London (even if I only go for tea), the Negresco in Nice & the Taj palace in Mumbai. Those 3 are on my bucket list. Hopefully you can do a review if you have the opportunity 🤷‍♂️🤞

Good review, with a nice backing track and wide coverage of the food offerings (bar, room and restaurant). Did you find any of the hatred towards tourists reported a couple of years ago? P.S. Having just booked a night in KLIA2 and gotten all of 49 square feet I'm rather blind to the failings of your room here!

Certainly no hatred… just a cranky FD Agent at the Almanac Hotel last spring lol. And I have my fair share of windowless closets sold as rooms that I stay in (and don’t review…). Those are my secret nights off 😂

To be honest if I were going back to BCN I'd likely choose a different hotel from the ones I've documented on the channel. They are all nice in their own right, but for me personally, all a bit over priced.

Hi, really enjoyed your video of Majestic (& also Almanac & Edition). Trying to decide between Majestic & Hotel Neri for June 2023 - tough decision! Would you say that you almost always get upgraded booking with Amex FHR & Hotel Collection hotels? Don't want to gamble too much on it but was wondering if I should book the entry rooms, and madly hope for that upgrade! Thanks.

I’d say, 80% for FHR and 60% for THC. Shorter stays will generally fare better. If there’s a specific room you’re wanting though, I’d never chance it on an upgrade, just book it. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

I am off to Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia (KL again Love Malaysia) Sadly from were I am based it is cheaper and easier to go to Japan than a city in my own country Australia. Your videos have made me break out of my safety zone and explore - there is more to life than going to Bali a few times a year.
