What a dream! I've gone whale watching 7 times in Alaska and have yet to see bubble net feeding! It's on my bucket list!! Thank you for sharing this! And thank you for posting about Glacier Wind Charters - we went with them last time and we really enjoyed it! Guess I like exclamation marks! LOL

There is no choice to make, Glacier Wind Charters is the best - I was on Majestic in May and booked them after watching previous vlogs. We saw humpbacks, orcas, otters, porpoises, and sea lions. It.will.make.you.cry.

The trumpeter! We heard a trumpeting humpback in Icy Strait back in June. The vibration was felt in the deck beneath my feet. Magical.

I used Glacier Wind Charters on the 13th (last week) and boy howdy was the bubble feeding active. And we were right there in Hoonah. Cars were stopping to watch... as would I. Caught 8 feedings on camera and had one full breach. Used GWC based on your past videos and was not disappointed.

That was a spectacular whale watch. I don't anticipate seeing anything remotely close to this good when I go in 2024, but it definitely makes me glad I spent a little more to get on the 20 person boat instead of the 150 person one.

I agree Dee, I was in Juno on a whale-watching trip the whales were feeding and it was so emotional. I don't know entirely why it impacts us that way but it is beautiful and powerful.

Per usual, I was crying right along with Dee! 😂 Have you noticed a difference in whale activity at different times of the day? We are going out with Harv and Marv’s in Juneau next June, but it’s later in the day around 11 AM. I’m hoping they are as active then as they are in the early morning!

ooh..otters were something I was hoping to see, but they weren't around when we were in Icy Straight Point. Neither were the whales. I never did get to see an otter in the wild, only one in captivity at the aquarium in Stanley Park in Vancouver.
