Going to The Acheron Way (C507) provides an idyllic drive or bike ride through the heart of the Central Highlands. Featuring spectacular forests this route epitomises what the Great Forest National Park aims to protect. Accessible with 2WD the Acheron Way is found between the Rainforest Gallery and Marysville road. If a pleasant forest drive or ride is what you desire then this route is a wonderful way to access Marysville from Warburton. This scenic route can be linked up with Black Spur Drive by heading south along the Maroondah Hwy from Marysville or Narbethong.
Now coming back through Black Spur Drive, Healesville , Marysville.
Wind your way along the Maroonda Highway (B360) between Healesville and Marysville for 28km through luxuriant forest characterised by the tallest flowering tree on earth - Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans) - and captivating tree ferns. This is one of the best scenic drives in the region and has a number of great attractions nearby.
