Majestic is the best description of this beautiful specie that mankind have somehow pushed to the brink of extinction.

Vielen herzlichen Dank Walter!

I only need to walk by the canal here where I live in Ireland to see the likes of herons, egrets, ducks, swans and sometimes cormorants. But the more exotic hornbills and shoebills and such would be worth the journey to Uganda to see. Wonderful video.

Thank you very much for your comment. Unfortunately a GoPro is not sufficiant for birding. Yes, you can capture the bird, but it will not reveal any details. We use very big telephoto lenses to get a good closeup view of the bird. You might be lucky and it is right in front of your boat, but mostely you will only see it from a far distance. With best regards, Markus

Dear danedigitl, thank you so much for your wonderful comment, appreciate it very much. Most of the other birds were on the way from Entebbe center to the boat at Mabamba swap seen from the road itself (our guide simply stopped the car when he saw a bird near the road, you can see us walking on the road in the video). The birds in the garden at the end were filmed in our hotel "The Boma". With best regards, Markus
