I also read newspaper on daily basis without fail and this charges me with updated knowledge everyday and then, when i am out on work and meet lot of people daily i dont feel outdated and always stay ahead in discussions . Good evening sir Lt.col. Abhishek Bhardwaj was my principal when I was in 8th standard. Sir has banned the Times of India in school.we had the student edition of Times of India and main edition of Times of India but sir had started student edition of The Hindu and The economics times. Sir told us reading Times of India is wasting of time because whole newspaper is full of addvertisement and unwanted things.specially page no.2. Priority of newspapers THE HINDU>THE INDIAN EXPRESS>THE HINDUTAN TIMES>THE ECONOMIC TIMES. I also analysed the same thing. One speech of Rajeev dixit same thing is told about The Times of India.

I have three doubts- 1. Which newspaper should a beginner start with no experience in reading news? 2.Should we start news of our interest as it may capture us? 3.how much time should we devote daily just for being aware of what is happening in the world not a upsc aspirant?
