The sound is indeed not very good, I admire how calm he remains and undisturbed. It seems he has mastered many of the teachings. And Im greatful for this recoring enabling the world to learn the dhamma from this wonderful man. .

I bought and am in the proces of reading all his books and these courses help a lot in understanding, Im struggling to understand the not self part atm, however I have only just started, and meditate each day for half an hour (vipassana). But I wonder if there is no self, what part is responsible for the actions one does. There has to be something that chooses good or bad (positive or negative) or how can there be responsiblity for once kamma... I understand there is no permanent self .. as its constantly changing, but then what is there that choses ... if its only actions and reactions based on conditions... then where is the choice... and without choice how is there responsibility... will meditate on it more... and read and listen more... but this Im trying to grasp

Listening with an earphone improved the sound quality tremendously.

@@maartenvandenberg4825 1 Choice is there in the step called avijja pachchaya sankara Avijja is ignorance . This is in patichcha samuppada .. Whereas if your informed about all that is to follow with vijja or vidya or the knowledge of real science behind the dhamma, you have an informed choice to make . The sankara that follows is at a far higher level compared to an ignorant person ..So this is the level your going to intervene and break the cycle of samsara even though it is a long process that needs practice 2 When it comes to anaththa or non self it means which is not under your control . So the act of clinging even to your own roopa (or body ) or the naama (that vedana sanga sankara vinnana) is in vain as it is subject to dukkha and anithya any way .. So finally when the mind is developed to see the impermanance dukka and anaththa in every single thing the idea of I ,me, my begins to disintegrate very slowly and steadyly .

Hola Bhante... Will you be uploading/making vids of the ones you are missing in the Majjhima Nikaya? If not, please explain?

I look up to Venerable Bohdi as one exhibiting behavior to model after and am very gladdened by his sense humor. ( the reference to the orange robes discussion of MN6) . Humor and laughter are like medicine , requisites, and can be wholesome mental states; this is supported in the Pali canon (Vinaya) and Abhidhamma. I grew up in a Jewish family in St Louis Park Minnesota and graduated a few years after the Cohen brothers. I often see humor in many things and my girlfriend enjoys this humor. I am always relieved to see these mental states in the Venerable one.

Not very mindful of the crew to have the Bhikkhu there to teach , and not have all the audio bugs worked out in advance . Worked in some form of music/audio/video production my whole life , this is unacceptable. Very lucky he is such a patient man. In the real world of production , a mistake like this would be your last job in the field. I appreciate the videos very much , just wish they could have shown this wonderful teacher /translator had been given proper respect from audio crew.

They're not professionals, just members of the monastery

I can forgive their lack of experience but it still seems disrespectful of such a rare, great teacher
