Thanks for showing these decks -- very interesting! I didn't really get FOMO, though no guarantees for any future rare decks you show... Loved that you gave us some spreads we can do with majors-only decks!

I also have the Ansata Tarot, the German version, and the tower card is my favorite tower card ever. That lady jumping out without being afraid and taking a chance on change is a really beautiful aspect of embracing change head on. The deck was originally not a deck, but the pictures were created for a book about astrology (1981) and then later (1985) made into a seperate deck, like mentioned in the LWB. I have the book as well, that one seems an easier find than the deck, but I don't know if it was ever published in other languages besides German. But the images in the book are size A4 and that is great for looking at all the details in the cards. And I like that the astrological assiciations differ from the Golden Dawn. 💜

I don't have a majors only deck but I do have decks that have really great majors but minors that I don't connect with and will pull those majors and use them. I love to use them to clarify in readings, as you said to pull back and look at the bigger picture, or to find what "lesson" I need to work with. Loved this video, thank you!!!

Thank you for chatting about this! I've been considering splitting a deck to use the major tarot for working with ancestor through tarot in one of Nancy Henderson's books (Ancestral Tarot). I've selected a couple of decks for maternal / paternal lines, but having a separate majors deck to use means I am not splitting and re-blending their decks

I have kept only 2 Majors decks. I really enjoy them both. Robert M Place's Raziel Tarot, which does have 2 extra cards, the tree of knowledge and the tree of life. Of course, Rachel Pollack's book makes the artwork alive. And Il Meneghello's 22 Talismani. I wanted the one with the Hokusai wave in it, but it was out of stock at the time, and I am so glad I grabbed this one. It is really clever how he made each major a talisman. I love the way Camelia Elias works with Marseilles majors... I hope to get a nice handmade Marseilles major deck for my purse...

I think it can be good to use the majors only, but it's easy enough to separate them out from a complete deck. It's more versatile

What a coincidence! Heard you mention ‘stolen child tarot’ which rung a bell…and I checked to see that yes! I had seen it listed on eBay this evening!, It looks to be the full deck ( major and minors )and is priced at £186.68… so way out of my price range. It’s based on WBYates poem of same name.

Yes I actually have 2 or 3. I have big cards Wirth if I'm saying it right, then the Portland tarot. Maybe another one. I'm not sure. I haven't actually used them yet. Was wondering what to do with them, how to use them. Thanks for your review.❤ So...I'm saving this. Going to make notes

The only one I have is called the Imperial Dragon Oracle by Andy Baggott & Peter Pracownik. It's named an oracle but it's a majors only deck. Have you ever worked with a deck with majors and court cards but not the rest if the minors? I have a couple Tarot decks with really pipish minors but great majors and court cards.

Yes, I think you could work with a deck just the way you want to. I think you might miss some of the messages you might get from the pips, but if you don't like them, try it out.

@@meredithmercer448 it’s the camera on my phone. It does really well for video. Especially near a natural light source.
