Suggestion - Crocks "at work" have anti skid on the bottom, so that if you hit water, you won't slide (important for an older person especially). They also have a nice inner sole that gives me more arch support then just a plain crock. But they still have the extra toe space.

I was told that bunions can’t be cured without surgery. My left foot is always swollen. I have a bunion and started having plantar fasciitis, my toes are numb from peripheral neuropathy but my second toe hurts when my big toe steps on it. I’m using silicone spacers that help. After I got over the plantar fasciitis I had a partial tear in the Achilles’ tendon. My right foot and ankle were hurt two years ago this month when I fell two steps into my garage and broke my left wrist and had two massive tears in my left shoulder needing a reverse shoulder replacement and fractured my right ankle and severed the tendon underneath my big toe. Now I can’t flex my big right toe down and do have balance problems. I noticed my gait is different. Who would think so much damage can come from falling down two steps. I will try these stretches and am not sure how not being able to flex my right toe affects my balance. I keep hobbling along and feel so much older than my 60 years. Thanks

He said he impressed that I had good shoes on since most of his newer patients don't take into account the importance of having a wider toe box. I tried ASICS, which weren't for me. I tried Hokas - too weird of a feeling for me. When I tried Brooks, I just knew this was my Brand. I'm looking into oofos but to wear around my house. Because my anti-fatigue mats aren't enough for me in the kitchen any more, I am patiently talking myself into buying a pair.

My doctor warned me that flip flops greatly increase fall risk but I was still wearing them around the house until my dog stepped on the back of one and made me trip lol. Then I saw a lady catch the toe of her flip flop on a curb and take a hard fall onto concrete. I switched from flip flops to slides after that because they’re more secure on my feet than dangly flip flops
@donnagarner60078 ай бұрын
@@TC-fx5zu for what it's worth, you have to make sure that when you lift your foot in the air the shoe doesn't wiggle around. I had a pair that the thong was so long that the footbed hung away from my foot. In that case I didn't gauge how high I needed to lift my foot. The footbed of the flip flop hit the side concrete of my patio and I went flying across it! Got a few scrapes, but now I know to check that.
