It is one thing to get the rated power on the SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno, which is pure torture to an amp in itself. But when you hook up an amp to the AMM-1 and do a REALTIME test, on speakers, it is much more realistic. When subwoofers (any speaker for that matter) move, the impedance rises which causes the amp power to change dramatically depending on how much rise there was during testing and of course what frequency. I really wanted to just test the box itself but it ended up being an AMP test also! WOW! Great little amp and very nicely priced too!
I did make the mistake of thinking it was a 1,000 watt single subwoofer, preloaded box...i think the model number SDR-1K12D2 made me automatically think that without looking. The SDR 1k12D2 is in fact a 600 watt RMS box, says so right on the side! DUH! well it took a lot more than that! Sounded funny but after cooling it seemed to be not so bad...but i think i did damage it. That is OK, i replaced it with an SVR 12D2 which is 800w rms / 1600w peak sub. And now, it is time to find out who get's it...

I have switched almost all speakers in my 3 vehicles to Skar and drive them with my Rockford Fosgate Amplifiers. I love Skar equipment and honestly put them up with anyone else's speakers. That says alot from a guy who has been a solid Rockford Fosgate guy since 1993.

Ya I was looking at the known one of my buddies was telling me about his son just got a skar 12 loved it had an issue called skar they sent him a brand new one free so he ordered a second one. He is poweri g with a cerwin Vega amp but I think I will pair skar with skar.

Skar is a great brand overall. Just stay away from the EVL subwoofers, as they are known and prone to fail. And they have not so good ts parameters, which us a dead giveaway.

Whats up. This is Mike Anderson. I live about an hr and a half north of sac in Red Bluff. I haven't had a system in years and a rescent install in my daughters '98 passport got my juices flowing again. She's running a Skar sdr-10 dvc-4. The amp i got her is crap but wanna experiment first. The 1200watt skar amp in this video would pair perfectly for her whole system. I heard about Skar audio a few years ago. For a 3 year warranty and the price it was, I had to try it. I've been impressed by their stuff. It doesn't sound as good as the Alpine Type r's I had, but I did pay a lot more for them. Skar audio is perfect for me. Since I have become a father I am constantly having to ball on a budget.

I have the dual preloaded sdr-12 woofers being pushed by a Skar 1500.1. Box came already wired at 1ohm. They are an upgrade from my Rockford Fosgate P1 12s. The difference was like night and day!

Its Steve and Sara from Middletown Pennsylvania, Bought a 2006 Nissan Xterra from my sister, with blown speakers. Replaced the two front speakers with some cheap Pyle 6.5 component sets. I just turned 40 this year, and after replacing the door speakers it brought me back in time when I was totally into car audio systems. Another reason I want this set up is to prove my Best Friend there is nothing wrong with the Skar system. I've been looking at this speaker and Amp for weeks and weeks. I know they preform great, but he just don't have the faith. My best friend is comparing the Skar to his JL W13. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is due to lack of funds, but when I do get a amp and sub, I still have my 4 Gauge wire and remote cables still from 22 years ago.

So, I’m from Cozad, Nebraska. I drive a 1984 Chevy S10 single cab long box. I pieced together a budget system for it with three alpine 10” type s shallow subs, hifonics amp in a custom enclosure to the specs available behind the seats. Wired to 1 ohm. It absolutely pounds. My wife very rarely rides in my pick up as it doesn’t have AC. I took her on a date night a couple months back and she fell in love with the stereo. Now she wants one in her 2009 Chevy HHR. Unfortunately, I’ve been laid off during the Covid pandemic. So I’ve been unable to get anything put together for her as we’re surviving on her income alone. Just trying to feed our 7 year old and not get evicted. If I was to win this, I’d surprise her with it installed in her car and win husband of the year. Love the videos sir. Keep up the good work.

Just bought one of these scar loaded boxes. Only running on a cxa400 Wich is doing about 600 watts at 1ohm. Sounds really good. Even if sub doesn't last I love the box and I'll throw in a kicker R . Because I have a new one laying around. But so far I love it. In my commuter car so wasn't going for anything I was afraid of being stolen or needed alot of electrical

David from Houston TX here. When I was 20 I had an 04 lincoln ls. Absolutely loved the car!! I lost it when some @sshole ran a light and totalled it.. I did a full infinity door speaker replacement with a kenwood single din head unit and 2 alpine type R's in the trunk that BEAT! Now, im 33 and just 2 months ago I found and bought the same car I used to have and fell in love all over again! If I was to win something like that I wouldn't put it in my own vehicle as I already have a system with sundown 12's and skar amps. Skar mids and highs. But I do have a freind who is into car audio who's family is going though rough times with all the going on right now. I would myself spend the money for mids, highs and all the wiring. I’m from Phoenix, Arizona. I have a 2000 Honda Accord LX. I bought Skar Audio Door Speakers on Amazon because they had good reviews for a cheap price. It blew the stock 10 Watt Accord speakers out the water. I was looking into the 1,200 Watt Amp with the Skar Audio 8 inch Subwoofers with the pack of 3 in the box. It’s so cool. One thing for sure is I would want to have the perfect setup that can handle the amp. I really want the setup that can match my Door Speakers. It was surprising to me to see this video bc I’m really looking into this brand.

I have the same amp and i let that shit eat all the heat and it keeps going. I had it smoke up on me once but its still going just fine. I guess it was just a lil precipitation that built up cause its in my soft top jeep. Skar audio really knows how to make their shit right. I have nothing but respect for that company. Cheap ass shit with really good quality. Not to mention ill play it full blast on an hour long trip with no AC on a 100 degree day. It does not care. It still pushes so hard and keeps going. Im thinking about getting a pair of 800 watt subs for it. Cause im tired of blowing through subs.

I love skar. All their subs are underrated. My 2 VVX10V3s have been eating 2k RMS (and thats a real cea rated 2k) for the past year and a half or so, and they aint complaining...theyre rated for 600rms each

Wazzup Mr.Meade I'm from Lancaster, PA I drive a 08 chevy cobalt and it only has factory stereo in it ive been tryin to save up some money to get some beat but its per as usual I always end up needing it for other things mostly bills but any how I work for Ryder I am a forklift operator and my Ride to work is 40 mins daily so over a hour up & back this bump would definitely make my days a whole lot happier going to work and coming home in the am 3rd shift life suxx but somebody gotta do it with said thanx 4 given us the chance to get some beat..🤘
