Former Pakistani envoy Hussain Haquani (who had previously served the PM of Pakistan and is now living in exile) - he himself said Pakistan is an ideological state and the state defines itself as being in an "eternal" war with India (that is how the Pakistani state sees itself). Hussain always hopes for peace and economic cooperation such as trade and improvement of ties, but even he realises that a country like Pakistan (his own country) that was built on ideological (religious) grounds and is run by non-elected institutions (such as the army) and which sees a "perpetual enemy" in its neighbour cannot ever really be at peace (neither with itself nor with its neighbours). Pakistan is a rogue state - it is run by the Army for the needs of the army. Haquani himself says the very basis of the army, its very existence is defined on having a 'never-ending' war with its neighbour. If there is no war with India then there is no need of a "large" (disproportionately-sized) army - so the army calls the shots from behind the scenes and decides that an "eternal war" through any means is the only way to validate its own relevance and function as the real head of the state. It is silly for 'some' Indians (so-called educated ones sitting cozily in their couches) to speak of peace being possible with Pakistan through diplomacy, trade, talks, sport, bollywood and all that rubbish. Haquani himself said that Pakistani children are taught right from school (i.e. brainwashed) through their own texts and their (distorted) history books to hate Hindus and India - it is strange that some educated Indians think that peace is possible with such hateful ideological forces next door. You cannot have peace with a violent rogue state that was built solely on the basis of a hateful and violent expansionist ideology (Islam). So get out of the delusion that peace is possible in the present situation. It is okay to talk and dream of peace but always be prepared for the snake to show its real face.

Anyways, here is what India needs to think: Is it pragmatically possible to get PoK or Aksai Chin back? Not w/o a prolonged guerrilla war or a major conflict with lakhs of lives lost on both sides. So to start with we need to quit day dreaming about the that whole Akhand Bharat idea. 2nd India needs to reach out directly to Pakistani Military and ISI head through back channels for a settlement proposal for converting LoC into an international border. 3. Yield Aksai Chin to China and ask them to yield on Arunachal Pradesh. Back channel diplomacy. 4. Let stop brainwashing our next generation on Kashmir and empty bravados of patriotism. 5. Give Kashmir its statehood back and take them into confidence for converting loc into permanent border.
