Not sure what "Incremental Companies means . Don`t think we ever had them in the Light Infantry .

They're the remainder of the 2nd Bn of each regiment, mostly composed of recruits who have recently completed training. They carry out public duties in London and Windsor, and supply the 1st Bns on active service with replenishments as needed.

Lots of name taking, glad I didn't join the Guards. Joined a tank regiment instead, just looking after 54 ton of beastie seemed a better option.
