O'Connell is a back up in the NFL at best. I don't think the Raiders will win more than 4 games this season, they could be in position to get a real QB in next year's draft.

We had a franchise QB in Carr and he would never win a SB, his salary, upds and downs, fear to hits but he was consider a solid franchise QB so I. Prefer our current situation which we can build a solid rooster

The Eagles made it to the super bowl twice in 6 years with two different QBs and two different head coaches

Madden always said the game is won in the trenches, that's the key to winning the superbowl no matter who the quarterback is

You need 53 men with heart, comradery, and that are hungry to win a Super BOWL. But just as important you need great coaches. Leaders of men. I do believe that the RAIDERS have this formula. So we'll see my friends.

Becoming a Raider fan in 2000-2001 has definitely been rough. Seeing them make it to the Super Bowl just to get blown out then witness the shit show it has been since to now is pretty depressing. Crossing my fingers this 2024 team is gonna be the beginning of a new winning era again.

You can understand why the national media would predict things the way they have... in a bubble... with no experience from the last 5 seasons... BUT you would expect professional journalists who follow the NFL for a living, to be aware that they have routinely predicted the Raiders to finish at the bottom of the AFC West, and they have routinely been wrong. To be aware that they have routinely predicted the playoffs (or better) for the Chargers, and again, have routinely been wrong. It honestly seems like they have no self-awareness at all, and no appreciation for the fact that the Raiders have PROVED they're better than they thought, because they make the exact same predictions the following year as well. The most worrying thing is the apparent global acceptance of a fictional reality - if you asked all these professional clowns which team has come 2nd in the AFC West 3 times in the last 4 seasons, I really think that most of them would say the Chargers... and if you told them that the Raiders have finished with a better record than the Chargers in 4 of the last 5 seasons, they would be shocked. Wins and losses don't mean anything - the only thought they have is: "We all love Herbert, therefore the Chargers must be good!".
