Nine games into the tour The Bananas take on their first challenger; the MLB Alumni Players Association. Packed with former All Stars and World Series winners, the Bananas know they'll have to bring their "A" game. The Major Leaugers are excited to get in on the fun. What becomes clear right away is that the Bananas have already had an impact on the MLB. Jonny Gomes, Johnny Damon, Heath Bell, and all the others buy in all the way, and the game itself is electric. The Bananas have a secret weapon, JJ Falcon, a young ball player battling cancer who joins the team; it's an emotional dream come true.

We had the chance to see the Bananas in Indianapolis recently. It was incredibly fun and there were some moments that gave me chills. They really demonstrate the purity of baseball and made me appreciate how much I love the game.

A's?? He played one season there. I get Red Sox, he was a 2x A-Star with them, not to mention a WS Champ, but his one year with the A's, after 6 seasons with the Royals, was one of his worst. He hit only 9 HR, got caught stealing 30% of his attempts. His batting average and OBP were almost 30 points lower than his career average. He basically took the season off.
