The husband definitely loves her. He just didn't realize how evil she truly was, I think had she been willing to hold herself accountable and face the consequences - he would continue to stay by her side and protect her. But seeing how little regard she has for everyone, including him and their daughter, is where I think he draws a hard line.

Idk for me it looked like he just wanted to keep playing go with Dongeun, he enjoyed playing against her remember? And wanted to play more rounds but it was not him that she wanted to defeat so he told her he isnt changing sides and they will meet again as in he wants to keep playing GO "against" her so he is staying by yeon jin side. And he wanted to protect ye-sol as well and make sure she is safe.

This is the episode where you really start to see why Yeojeong is like a guardian angel for Dongeun, and why other people, like the husband, could never understand the life that victims like Dongeun and Yeojeong and Soohee had to endure. Also, I like how his being possessive makes her smile 😊 It's good to see her get a chance to enjoy this kind of teenage romance after she pretty much missed out on her entire life.

It's so perfect dude. I've grown so accustomed to seeing terrible endings and just needlessly unsatisfying conclusions in so much media these days, especially when it comes to relationships, that I was expecting the worst with this show at every turn. Like I was convinced they were gonna rugpull me and make me regret getting so invested. But I swear to God, the way they did it, I love this show as much as I love Mad Men, Arcane, and True Detective, if not more. I went into it hoping I'd find a good revenge story, ended up discovering that it's straight up one of my top 3 love stories of all time 😁

@@oyinolubayo7079 yeah he's like the audience avatar almost, he does everything for her that we want to do for her, not just helping her with her revenge, but also making her smile, laugh, experience romance and warmth and intimacy, all these things of which she was robbed, all these things that we as audience members wish we could give her, he's the one who comes in and brings all that light into her life. I think that's why he's so significant.

When Do yeong said he wouldn't leave yeon jin, I just felt like he said that so that he will have more reason to meet with Dong eun. He was expecting Dong eun to have some kind of fondness with him, so when she responded differently... he decided that time that he would not be leaving his wife yet.

The next episode is one of the best episodes! And you'll see why they bought that funeral home. Nice stuff! The husband stayed with Yeon Jin and I don't think he loves her, coz 1. He needs to make sure that Ye Sol will end up with him so he can't just leave. 2. If he divorced Yeon Jin there is no reason for Dong Eun to meet him that's why he stayed with her. Just my thought.
