The Cedi appreciation hasn't reflected on the good and services, no matter what the government tried, our people will still make things expensive on the consumers.

To my point of view, when dollar rises, immediately prices have to rise because they will need more cedis in their next supply to match with the new dollar rate. Now when dollar decreases, sellers have to still keep the prices of goods at the same level because they ordered that with the old higher dollar rate. But in their next order, they have to reduce the price because they ordered that supply with the new low dollar rate. So to me, I think prices have to go down but not just the moment dollar goes down, but sometime after dollar goes down

@giftylarbi1347 Well understood but I think the government did a part of it because the people we all know are selfish but blames government for it all. When fuel prices go up they increase the prices of goods without a second tik, but when fuel prices goes down, prices of goods stays up there and this is not news which I think every Ghanaian knows about this. So it would have been good that government at the ministry of trade should take this up because it all falls under their sector. They're can regulate prices of goods but they're not doing that

You’re being selfish here. Your frustration is that the cedi has appreciated, like for real? I’m very disappointed you made this video. I’m also living outside Ghana, I send money home too. But the fact that the value of my money has depreciated against the cedi does not mean I’m not happy. If the Ghanaian people are happy it’s far better than we the very small people living outside the country being happy. You don’t expect the cost of things to go down right after the currency appreciates. It takes time. What we can only pray for is that, the appreciation becomes consistent so that it will affect prices within a short time. If you have better reasons for your frustration, explain it clearly.
